    https://teamster.org/news/2020/03/te...FEomQjXdefAwVg

    The Teamsters UPS and UPS Freight National Negotiating Committees and UPS have reached an agreement to protect members at UPS and UPS Freight who may be affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

    In summary, the agreement provides for paid leave for any worker who is diagnosed with COVID-19 and is required to be quarantined or if they are quarantined due to a family member’s illness.

    While on leave, the pay will be:

    8 hours per work day for a Full-Time employee, max of 10 work days;
    For UPS workers only: 3.5 hours per work day for a Part-Time employee, max of 10 work days;
    *For UPS Freight workers only: 4 hours per work day for Part-Time employee, max of 10 work days.
    **For UPS CSI part-time employees, your local addenda guarantee will be applied.
    Health and Welfare and Pension contributions will be made as required by the supplement for these hours;
    If an employee self-quarantines, uses paid time off (PTO), and is later diagnosed with COVID-19, the company will re-populate the Paid-Time-Off up to the 80/35 hours.

      Tampa UPS Teamsters demand gloves, hand sanitizer to prevent COVID-19 spread

      Tampa, FL - UPS preloaders held a demonstration March 24 demanding disposable gloves, hand sanitizer and other personal protective equipment (PPE) amid the global COVID-19 pandemic. The demonstration was part of an ongoing local and national fight by UPS employees to get the PPE they need to safely perform their job and prevent the spread of the virus to customers and the public.

      The fight for proper PPE in Tampa began weeks ago when part-timers and drivers began asking management for gloves, hand sanitizer and regular sanitizing of high use areas like clock-in areas and delivery vehicles. These requests were met with excuses and flat-out denials. As the days went on more and more UPS employees requested PPE, leading to local UPS management stating they would provide hand sanitizer and regular sanitizations of high-use areas, but disposable gloves were absolutely out of the question.

      The excuse used by management for why gloves would not be provided was that employees could still touch their face while wearing the gloves, rendering them ‘useless.’ The implication being that UPS employees are too incompetent to properly wear gloves and purchasing them would be ‘a waste.’

          This is the Package Division Update from the Teamsters. It sites COVID practices which is why I placed it here.

          PACKAGE DIVISION UPDATE, JULY 30, 2020
          As all of you are aware, we are living through an unprecedented time at UPS. As the Covid-19 pandemic reached the United States, the shopping and buying habits of the general population changed dramatically. From online grocery orders to purchasing everyday items like paper goods and clothing, consumers are staying home and having these things delivered. The residential volume that our members are processing daily exceeds peak season levels by a large margin.
