All are residential deliveries are now "Curb Side" and we don't need a signature.. that goes for Industrial deliveries also.....wondering is any one (Ha,Ha) getting Hazardous Duty pay? IMO it's just a matter of time before I get infected...I have had Pneumonia three times, not really looking forward to getting it.

Funny you mention that Kid,my oldest daughter has been driving me crazy because of a underlying past medical condition, and of course my age...Sometimes I think she thinks I'm just some old fool who doesn't know what he's doing...But I know she's doing it out of Love...And because of that I try like hell to ease her fears as much as possible...And just knowing how much she loves and cares about her dear 'old' Dad makes it all worthwhile!!!!

So we have had layoffs at the Albq. terminal and now it is official that all routes as of next week will be gone and everyone will be extra board drivers. So now my husband who has had a dedicated route since last year will no longer. Back to the way we lived for years never knowing where or when he would be traveling. Just glad he is still working.

That sucks but yes he’s still working. Hopefully things will work out for him and the rest of the drivers.

The layoffs continue. Husband told me yesterday they have been laying off every Friday which I had not been aware of. Today is only the third day this week that he has worked. Not so good for a road driver.

We haven’t slowed down here at all. However when the manager told us we’d have to pick up the slack we all laughed at him. I made I pointed out that the contract says a fair days work for a fair days pay. Nothing in there about one man doing two nans work and getting one paycheck. Damn I can’t wait until the 31st of October gets here.

I have been told that 30 road drivers have been laid off in Albuquerque. That's just road drivers. I have no idea about the other drivers and dock workers. Oh yes, husband is busy now!

That is what seniority is all about..I was always one to take a day off here and there and let the guys on the bottom work but I guess it is different if they are on a hard layoff..

Just a really lousy way for husband to have enough work. We will never forget the 2 year layoff we went through with ABF in 2008. My heart goes out to those laid off.
