This is an interesting article about China and how they got there.. About a powerful company that sells advice and how dependent we have become on China..

    https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tuck...us-is-on-china

If you're under the age of 100, you have never lived in a world where the United States was not the most powerful nation on Earth.
For a century, America's dominance has shaped the globe. Many of our most basic assumptions, which we think of as Americans -- assumptions about democracy and culture and art and the value of human life -- are now much of the world's assumptions, at least officially.

This has been an American century, but it could end. There's no mandate that we must lead the world forever. We could be replaced, and it could happen soon.

In countless ways, this coronavirus pandemic has showed us that. It has revealed how terrifyingly vulnerable we are. We needed masks -- we no longer make masks here. We needed specific medicines; we don't make those either. Parts for ventilators and CT scans and an endless list of other critical medical devices -- none of them are made here anymore. All of these things are now made in China.

Good piece to read, but unless you have been living under a rock since birth every US citizen should have been aware of our dependency on China and every other third world country that produces the majority of our goods.
The politicians a very long time ago sold their souls to these countries in conjunction with all the big business in this country which is also to blame for our current standing. And also we as consumers have made this possible by buying all the junk that they produce.
Time will tell whether we the people have gotten smart enough after all this to change our ways.

Yes crazy, and besides all that which has been going on for decades,America,by far the wealthiest nation on Earth,in history, and we can't feed our own people...

In California and Florida vegetables are being dumped and left to rot in the fields due to restaurants and school closures...Vermont and Wisconsin are dumping milk down the drain...Vietnam,Russia,Ukraine,and other grain producing countries are limiting or banning exports of agricultural products...Mom and Pop,restaurants, small businesses are going under, while Corporations get bailed out to the tune of Trillions of dollars...The exceptional ''richest country in the world'' is turning into a third world mess...Look for massive financial consolidation of everything...Our Congress just gave the Federal Reserve and Hedge Fund managers the key to the Treasury and they will decide who gets to win in this lottery of public debt...

      https://wallstreetonparade.com/2020/...-year-bailout/

In 1932,it was the near collapse of the economy and with it the social structure of the country that ushered in FDR and the New Deal...Now,for the sake of the Working Class in this country, maybe it will be the Covid-19 Depression that will open the gate for a New New Deal...

This article speaks directly to an America that once was...What the hell happened to American exceptionalism, ingenuity, and creativity?...

How about a little 1940s/1050s style of good ole American know how...How about a Federal Government that responds by utilizing some of the millions of Americans who are currently out of work, and pay them to get some of these crops out of the fields and transported to where they are needed?...How about using the US Military or the National Guard?...I think that if there were a program organized by the Federal Government, you'd likely get 'thousands' of Americans who would even 'volunteer' for something like this...It can be DONE,especially by the same people who BUILT this 'Great Country'...''Working Class Americans''...I think it's way past time for...''Back to the Future'' as far as the direction this country should go!!!!!

A little more on China and the Chinese Coronavirus...I believe the one thing we all can agree on is China lies..

China could have 50 times more coronavirus cases than claimed, Trump administration official says

          https://www.foxnews.com/politics/chi...-official-says

As the international community, including Chinese citizens, raises questions about the Chinese government's tally of coronavirus cases and the communist nation's mortality rate, new details are emerging about just how far off official government calculations have likely been, Fox News has learned.
Last week, the People's Republic of China increased their official count of fatalities inside Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus outbreak, by 50 percent in just one day, increasing the overall tally by 1,290 people.
Now, a Trump administration official tells Fox News they estimate the PRC has miscalculated and underreported the true tally nationwide by at least a factor of 50. “PRC numbers as reported today seem to be arithmetically impossible,” the official said.
“Again, we don’t know the real numbers today, but we do know the about 80,000 infections and 4,000 deaths as reported by the Chinese Communist Party propaganda are not even remotely close,” the person added.
Intelligence sources, asked about recent reports of funeral homes in Wuhan becoming overwhelmed by the volume of new corpses and plagued by a shortage of urns to hold virus victims' remains, declined to confirm the existence of classified satellite images. They did affirm, however, that the reporting is within the realm of possibility based on the evidentiary record.

In support of this claim, officials point to the existence of seven funeral homes inside Wuhan city with a total incineration capacity of about 2,000 corpses per day. They also flag recent reporting that incinerators have been in near-constant use for 24 hours per day over the past several weeks. They note that, at this rate, the city's incineration capacity nears 60,000 corpses per month.

Sources also tell Fox News that between March 23 and April 4, the city-wide goal included the return of 500 urns to Wuhan families per day, or about one urn per minute of each day, in accordance with official social distancing recommendations. This goal was enacted in order to support the national Qing Ming festival, a day in which Chinese citizens traditionally honor deceased relatives. Based on this official guidance, sources arrive at a lower-end total tally of 45,500 corpses incinerated and returned to their families during this 13-day period.

Fox News first reported on April 15 that there is increasing confidence that the virus likely escaped from a Wuhan lab -- where it was being researched -- not as a bioweapon but as part of a Chinese effort to show that its efforts to identify and combat viruses are equal or greater than those of the U.S.

And now they are threatening Australia for what?? Investigating China?

China Warns Australia: Drop Coronavirus Probe or Pay an Economic Price

            https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2020/...conomic-price/

The Australian government’s call for China to explain its bungled handling of the deadly coronavirus pandemic could spark a boycott by Chinese consumers, who may no longer travel and study in Australia or buy major exports including beef and wine.

That was the stark warning delivered Monday by Ambassador Cheng Jingye via an interview published in the Australian Financial Review.
The ambassador said Australia’s inquiry push was “dangerous” and destined to fail, adding to previous criticism from Beijing, which portrayed Canberra as unblinking lackeys of the U.S. in the Pacific.

“I think in the long term… if the mood is going from bad to worse, people would think ‘Why should we go to such a country that is not so friendly to China? The tourists may have second thoughts’,” he said.

“The parents of the students would also think whether this place which they found is not so friendly, even hostile, whether this is the best place to send our kids.”

Education is Australia’s third biggest export and is worth more than $30 billion to the economy every year.

The ambassador refused to comment on whether key exports such as iron ore, coal and gas would be similarly affected by perceived anti-China sentiment.

Good luck with that! But I cannot help thinking this is also to take the spotlight off the fact he did not do what he should have done to stop this thing from coming into the U.S.

Trump says China could have stopped Covid-19 and suggests US will seek damages

Donald Trump has renewed his attacks on China, saying his administration was conducting “serious investigations” into Beijing’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak and suggesting he would seek damages for the US.
At the briefing Trump launched another forthright attack on China, saying there were “a lot of ways you can hold them accountable” for the pandemic.
“We’re doing very serious investigations ... We are not happy with China,” the president said. “We believe it could have been stopped at the source. It could have been stopped quickly and it wouldn’t have spread all over the world.”

Not saying it's only the fault of Trump. I believe there were several entities and people involved in dropping the ball on this one.
