Portland Police Are Giving Up On Policing The Far-Right

What a hoot, giving up policing the right, what about the criminals that have destroyed the city ???dilusional to say the least.
What we have is the protection of criminals over the law abiding citizens. If you don’t like guns don’t continue to do things to bring them out.
Keep prodding the horse and you will get kicked.

Portland is a joke as they let people riot and destroy then arrest them and days later they dismiss the charges so the so called demonstrators can go back and do it again..

400 CRIMINAL PROTEST CHARGES DROPPED. VIOLENCE NOW LEGAL IN PORTLAND?

      https://oregoncatalyst.com/48864-400...-portland.html

The Willamette Week reports that most of the 550 cases of protest criminal acts will be dropped by newly appointed Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt. Of the 550 cases, 47 will be followed up for prosecution with another 86 cases pending.

Although it will take a while to examine how this plays out, here are some early indicators.

It appears from the District Attorney that charges involving “resisting arrest” seems to be among the most common charges to be dropped.

Charges will be dropped because the DA implies that people naturally commit crimes if they’ve been tear gassed and it really is the police’s fault. The logic is law enforcement’s attempt to stop a riot is enough excuse for people to create a riot because they can’t help themselves.
OPB reports, District Attorney Mike Schmidt saying, “I’d be baking in some more restorative justice. And maybe even more community involvement in the resolution of these cases … to kind of honor the fact that they were there protesting and wanting to be heard. And then creating a venue where they could do that as part of some sort of negotiated dismissal.”
This means that if you commit a crime, the District Attorney will give a chance for your politics to be heard.
This wholesale forgiveness of protestors committing violent acts in the middle of Portland involving some of the worst and most persistent rioting in the nation’s modern history will be a dangerous sign to commit more violence.

              No double standard ?
              This story says otherwise.
Let's go further back to remember that man who took a knee for his own peaceful protest. ( just what any protest should be ) What followed was the president criticizing his protest actions, then the president inflamed hatred for this man, which ultimately caused this man to lose work.
He protested peacefully ... but there goes that old double standard.

Portland Police Bureau Knew Tusitala “Tiny” Toese Was Attending a Proud Boy Rally While a Wanted Man
Before Tusitala "Tiny" Toese arrived at the "No Marxism in America" rally Aug. 22, he was a wanted man. But that didn't stop him from attending the rally in broad daylight in downtown Portland and walking within feet of Portland police officers who had probable cause to arrest him.
What Toese did: On Aug. 11, Multnomah County Circuit Judge Kathleen Dailey issued a warrant for Toese's arrest after he violated conditions of his probation agreement stemming from a conviction for a 2018 assault. That agreement prohibits him from attending protests through 2022, and from leaving his home in Vancouver, Wash., except for work, medical appointments, and meetings with his probation officer. The agreement also requires him to wear a GPS tracking device.
On Saturday, Toese thumbed his nose at those restrictions and openly defied his probation agreement. Video showed him casually strolling by police.
Nearly 30 Portland officers stood by for the duration of the event. They did not attempt to apprehend Toese despite contacting the county's probation unit and notifying it of Toese's presence that afternoon, indicating police were probably aware Toese had an active arrest warrant while he was at the protest.
At the time of the protest, Toese's GPS tracking bracelet, required by court order, was either not charged or not functioning because he had tampered with it, Preuitt says. She says DCJ hasn't been able to consistently track Toese's location for weeks.
Ashlee Albies, a civil rights lawyer in Portland, says the decision not to arrest Toese is an example of viewpoint discrimination—that is, granting deference to one group because of their political views.
"It seems like the First Amendment rights of some protesters are valued more highly than others'," Albies says. "It has such repercussions for our community and how the community feels safe and protected."

Oh the proud boys, the white supremist group, arent they nazi's also ? Peaceful rally's by the "peaceful protesters" .More leftist propaganda to try to cover up the destruction by the "peaceful protesters".
Maybe those 30 portland police officers stood by because they were told to stand down by the leftist mayor and governor .Surely dont want to hurt the feelings of the "peaceful protesters "
Just another load of leftist BS at its best.

Seems I am not the only one to see a coincidence between a vile dictator the world saw fit to squash and this current adminstration.

If Cops Are Lining Up With Armed Vigilantes, We Better Start Fireproofing the Reichstag
Be wary of paramilitaries. When the men with guns who have always claimed to be against the system start wearing uniforms and marching around with torches and pictures of a Leader, the end is nigh. When the pro-leader paramilitary and the official police and military intermingle, the end has come.

The gunfire coincided with the arrival of some armed right-wing boogaloo militia types.
Where the hell were your guys, sheriff? Armed militias roaming the streets? Where’s the National Guard?

Images of the rival group showed heavily armed white men, some wearing body armour. According to witness reports, the two groups had clashed as the night wore on, and police fired teargas and rubber bullets at demonstrators near Kenosha’s courthouse. Social media users posted a series of images including video that appeared to show the same individual – a young man – at key points during the confrontation, including interacting with police in a tactical vehicle who say they “appreciate” the alleged vigilantes’ help and give them bottled water.

                  Oh, that’s where they were.

Seems the average citizen needs to be protected, from the radical right, those militia type big gun wannabe's that wear camo garb and get special treatment from some police.
One thing is certain, the radical right is deadly, dangerous and their playbook is lifted from the pages of the Gestapo secret police manual.

Right-wing extremists account for majority of extremist-related murders last year, ADL reports
Of the 42 extremist-related murders in the nation last year, 38 were committed by individuals subscribing to various far-right ideologies, including white supremacy, the ADL’s annual Murder and Extremism report found. Last year was the sixth deadliest for extremist-related violence since 1970.
There were 17 separate incidents last year with the deadliest being the attack by a white supremacist at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, which left 22 people dead and at least 24 wounded. White supremacists were responsible for 81 percent of the domestic extremist-related murders in 2019, while right-wing extremists were responsible for 90 percent last year. Since 2010, right-wing extremists have been responsible for 330 deaths, or 76 percent of all domestic extremist-related murders within that time.
The past five years include four of the deadliest years on record for extremist murders. The number of extremist-related fatalities in the United States declined slightly in 2019 from the previous year, which saw 53 extremist-related deaths. But last year’s total was higher than in 2017 when 41 deaths were recorded.
Nothing to see here ... move along with the goose steps of the radical right.

                            No, of course not.
The radical right, the white supremacist groups, the side you associate with and support, are murderers.
Put this in your right wing red cap and think about it.
