Default Judge Orders End to NFL Lockout

"ST. PAUL, Minn. A federal judge has sided with NFL players and granted their request for a preliminary injunction to lift the lockout.

U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson issued her ruling late Monday. The ruling gives the players an early victory in their fight with NFL owners over a new collective bargaining agreement in the $9 billion business."

Didn't they disband from their union so they could file a lawsuit for the right to be allowed to work? No union, just workers being locked out. The law about the injunction may not apply to this situation.

The players did get the injunction but I'll bet it's temporary. The judge is saying the injunction is necessary because the lock-out would cause irreparable harm. To who? Tom Brady? but like the first YRC-ABF court-case, the judge ruled it's not a question for the court to decide. The Owners with the money always win

    Off again,on again
    After ruling, NFL lockout back

Court of Appeals restores NFL lockout, grants request for temporary stay - ESPN

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The on-again, off-again NFL lockout is on again.

Hours after NFL players reported to work for the first time in nearly two months, the league announced late Friday the lockout would resume immediately, thanks to an appeals court ruling in the league's favor.

"Looks like we're unemployed again," tweeted Jets wide receiver Braylon Edwards, scheduled to become a free agent.
