Agreement Secures Solid Wage Increases For Pipe Line Teamsters


(Washington, D.C.) – The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Building and Construction Division announced today the ratification of the Teamster National Pipe Line Agreement. The agreement was approved by an overwhelming majority, with 92 percent voting for ratification. The new agreement will expire January 31, 2014.

The agreement provides for a wage increase of five per cent on the total package for the life of the agreement – 1 percent effective Jan. 1, 2011; 2 percent effective Feb. 1, 2012 and 2 percent effective Feb. 1, 2013. In addition, employees will receive a payment of 3 per cent on the total package retroactive to January 1, 2012.

The new agreement also establishes the Teamsters National Pipeline Pension Fund for Travelers and former participants in the Central States Pension Fund.
