Truck drivers give union OK to strike
Chicago truck drivers moved a step closer to a walkout, voting overwhelmingly to allow their union leaders to call a strike -- a move that could cripple city snow removal, garbage collection and airport operations.
Teamsters working in the city Departments of Aviation, Streets and Sanitation, Transportation, Water Management and Fleet Management voted 3-1 via mail-in ballots to give their top negotiators strike authorization.
