Default Change to Win Good Jobs Green Jobs

This is an email I received and thought I would share it with our CA brothers and sisters:

Change to Win Strategic Organizing Center

On Thursday, March 15th and Friday, March 16, please join:

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa

    James Hoffa, General President, International
    Brotherhood of Teamsters

    Phil Angelides, Chairman, Apollo Alliance
    Project, BlueGreen Alliance

    Art Pulaski, Secretary-Treasurer,
    California Labor Federation

David Steel, CEO, US Green Chamber of
    Commerce

Allison Chin, Treasurer and Past President,
    Sierra Club

Change to Win is proud to be a national convener of the Good Jobs, Green Jobs
conferences and we look forward to joining other labor,
environmental and green business leaders at the Los Angeles Westin
Bonaventure Hotel for the 2012 Good Jobs Green Jobs Western Regional Conference. The Good Jobs, Green Jobs conference is sponsored by the BlueGreen Alliance, a coalition of eight
major unions and four environmental organizations. This conference offers a great opportunity for sharing ideas and strategies on building the green economy — and creating good jobs along the way.

What sectors are expected to gain good, green jobs? Is our workforce prepared to meet the demands of clean energy employers? These are some of the questions that will be discussed at the 2012 Good Jobs, Green Jobs Western Regional Conference, March 15-16, in Los Angeles, California. Online registration ends THIS FRIDAY, March 9th but we will also be accepting walk up registrations at the venue.

For two days, Conference-goers can take part in exciting plenaries and more than 50 workshops focused on topics ranging from clean energy manufacturing, to green chemistry and worker health, to state and local initiatives to green infrastructure and transportation. Take a minute to view the workshops.

Be part of the effort to build a green economy by registering to attend the Good Jobs, Green Jobs Western Regional Conference. There are still a small number of discounted hotel rooms left, please contact Mac Lynch at macl@bluegreenalliance.org if you are interested in receiving information about a discounted room.

P.S. Good Jobs, Green Jobs West is partnering with the California Labor Federation — who is also hosting their Workforce & Economic Development Conference (WED) immediately before the
Good Jobs, Green Jobs Conference on March 13-15, 2012. If you wish to attend both of these conferences at the rate of $295, please click here and indicate that you wish to attend the Good Jobs, Green Jobs West Conference during the registration process.
