One sided and very jaded opinion, that is very much incorrect, about unions and their role in society.
Unions do not send their money to a "single" political organization either.
It seems you are mis-informed about unions in general and their place in the average employees workplace.
My guess is you had a bad experience but I also feel you only get out of a union what you personally put in to it.
Also, I do need to show a voter ID card .... what is the point of that comment ?

I also agree with the judges ruling. There are many places unions are not welcome, even by the workers, for many reasons, corruption being one of them. No need to ram Union down anyones throat. That is not helping anything.

I think the people siding with the judge don't have enough info or general knowledge of unions and what we are trying to accomplish. No one is tryng to ram anything down anyones throat. It is basic info everyone should be aware of. The only people shoving anything down anyones throat is the lies big business tells about unions.......that will go on regardless of posters or not. Negitivity towards unions coming from within is really bad and we don't need that here!

It also explains that workers have a right not to join a union and that it is illegal for union officials to coerce employees into joining a union.

This above wording is in the posters...........Thats not forcing the union on anyone! Its just info....like someone already said!

I'll tell you one thing, as I have worked for 33 yrs. on BOTH sides of the Union/ Management fronts, in the legal reprentation area, and you'd be very surprised how much "in bed" the upper union officials are with upper individuals in management. Its an I'll scratch your back, you scratch mine, type of relationship with the bottom line being about MONEY and MEMBERSHIP numbers. That is it, nothing else. Many of the Union accomplishments we know of, are the direct result of someone or group, being sold out or hung out to dry, by the union leadership themselves, somewhere else. Those signs we're talking about, are just possible recruitment seeds. Do you think the Union leadership really gives a crap about the rights of those workers at that non-union site. They want their membership and thus their dollars. Don't get me wrong, this country needs unions greatly. the working man would be screwed without them, and they started out to be a great thing. However now they are no longer the "Ra-Ra Go Worker" support group they used to be. The upper union management has its own adgenda, and many times it not in the best interests of the rank and file, and disguised nicely. If you think this is a negetive rant, then I'm sorry, its not. Its a factual account of reality and no one likes it. If you don't want to believe it thats fine. On many issues in today's world I find my self keeping my head in the sand to avoid the frustration of facing the facts. The bottom line is the union leadership will screw over its own as quick as the company will if the price is right. Watch your back, trust no one.

We need to get info out there, and those posters would have been a great way to do that! The employees can decide if they need a union or not. Unions will be dinosaurs if we don't keep organizing and growing! I think we would all be naive thinking everything between the unions and management is always on the up and up.......but that's the way it is and that's the way it's been and it will probably always be that way.

When started working at Overnite, after 16 years as a Teamster, I got lots of questions from the guys I worked with about unions. You'd be surprised how uninformed they were. Most of what they knew was the BS management shoved down their throats. The little info the posters have would have been helpful to my now Teamster Brothers at UPS Freight!
