It's the Walmart/JB Hunt mentality at it's best.

Obviously that dosen't bother you. But I have a feeling that if you worked for an OD or R&L instead of ABF you might see things a little more from our point of view
It's not that it doesn't bother me. It's that it's life, and nothing can be done about it.
It's called growth and progress. And at the so called mom and pops, who were the ones really making the most money? Mom and Pop owners, that's who. They still paid lower wages to their employees.

What has own to the general store from the 1800s? It got replaced by Sears, JcPenny and major grocery stores like Safeway, Albertsons and such.
Now we are trying to make these major Grocery Stores sound like Mom and Pops? Give me a break.

Lol, gee I wonder? Why is it when some one believes differently from you, their brainwashed? Like 2631 just said, we just believe differently.

I could say you were brainwashed because you believe differently from me. I would say a Marxist way of thinking. But ABFwife says that's a no no. So I won't.

It was a small shop in a very small town that we all depended on. It was also the only video store in town at the time. And it was also a UPS store which I used frequently and now those services are gone.

Ya, backed by multi billion dollar corporations. They have to follow the rules of the multi billion corporation. Still have to answer to the corporate big wigs.

But if you're ok with Franchises, then you're ok with FedEx Ground?

Yes, a franchise and it put some great people out of work! And now if I want to take advantage of union UPS services, I have to leave town to do it.
