Being a Teamster isn't just about paying dues and reaping the benefits. There is a lot more to it than that!

Right, thats why I support pro-growth pro-profit, pro-free market policies. Unions are nothing without a strong economy.

Obviously that dosen't bother you. But I have a feeling that if you worked for an OD or R&L instead of ABF you might see things a little more from our point of view

Well then, what would that point of view be given the fact that it doesn't seem to bother you that good full time jobs are being replaced with part time jobs without any benefits. Our local merchants are being squeezed out.

Like you care? You're awfully quite on what Obama just did with 800,000 illegals.

And I never said it didn't bother me. I just understand that's the reality. Local merchants can't keep up with growth. That doesn't mean all with go out of business. They just have to adjust and find their nitch.

When a new Walmart or Home Depot opens up, their is almost always hundreds if not thousands applying. That tells me their is demand for jobs the small merchants can't meet.

And let's not forget. Many small local business's benefit from these new super stores. Construction, plumbing, electrical not only benefited with the construction of these stores, but also the continued maintenance.

It's not so black and white. Both big and small business not only benefit, and require each other.

Wal-Marts destroy most community's local businesses. A small increase in jobs, low paid jobs too, some construction work, by low paid non-union contractors ( who do they employ ? ) and the so-called continued maintenance, which I suspect is either by low paid contractors or in house by Wal Mart people. That doesn't add anything and the only benifit is to the Walton list of billionaires.

This deceptive corporate frame-job hopes you ignore a long history of net job losses for communities, as a single Walmart box store can easily displace over 100 local businesses. Walmart jobs pay less, passing on savings to the customer as they take profits out of the local tax base. The displaced workers will not only increase unemployment claims in the area, but Walmart’s workers often need government handouts as well because the wages and benefits are abysmal.
