This is all fine and dandy but I would sure like to see some freight companies get organized!
SANTA MONICA, Calif. - A string of recent Teamsters organizing victories has added almost 800 new members in seven locations in the last few months. And while the biggest win was in Santa Monica, Calif., the most unusual saw the union "go kosher" - winning an election and a first contract for 15 kosher dining hall workers at the University of Pennsylvania.

Yeah Jimmy, you remember the resolution to Organize FredEx you were beating your chest about in Vegas? Was that all BS just to get the vote away from Sandy Pope?

They are attempting to organize 2 freight companies around here.
It will be a long uphill battle.
I watched as people drove into the parking lot of one company with license plates from several states away. The company won't divulge the employee list, so an accurate count is impossible.
The other company de-certified a couple decades ago.
Now the drivers have expressed an interest to unionize again ?

Both these companies will pull out all stops to intimidate, harass, fool and prevent the workers from a straight vote.
Both companies also maintain O/O fleets and I would guess they have other trucking companies operating within their business structure.

Probably stand the same chance of organizing a Koch industry company as getting these 2 outfits under a union banner.
