This could have affected many, many shoppers in Southern CA. Interesting to see that Stater Bros is union but of a different contract. That is where I used to shop and I noticed we have a new member from Stater Bros.

Southern California’s three largest supermarket chains and the union that represents their store workers have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract, bringing several months of often-intense negotiations to what will likely be a successful conclusion.

Some 60,000 members of the United Food & Commercial Workers who work at Ralphs, Albertsons and Vons stores in Southern California will vote to ratify the contract Wednesday, according to the website of Local 770, which represents workers in Los Angeles and Ventura counties.
Stater Bros., which has the most locations in the Inland area, has been negotiating separately and is not part of this contract. Store representatives did not return a call seeking comment.
