    Default New England Merger Information.

Roadway in RI will be moving to New Penn's terminal in Cumberland and New Penn will be moving into Roadway's terminal (former New Penn terminal) in Cranston.
Yellow will also be moved to Cumberland with Roadway where they will be combined as a single company.

Stay tuned for more information on what's happening in New England.

are you trying to say that after we re-did that terminal, and made it into a npme terminal- all our terminals are set up all most exactly alike- that now npme is being moved out, and y/r are moveing in? and were are also being moved back to old terminal? let me say first off i dont think so, but i will find out to night for sure. we moved there for a reason, and that was that terminal peddals freight that used to be peddaled from boston terminal.there would have to be a coo to move again,i would think and have heard nothing about this. you guys might be bigger, but you don't and never will come close to exacuteing overnight freight like we do.

allnightrain44, this information is 100% correct as of this moment. If things change I'll let you know. This information HAS been confirmed by New Penn management. The move should be completed by 12/14.

New Penn spent over $600,000 renovating that terminal to bring it up to their standards but when YRC owns the whole thing I guess they can do what they want with it.

As for the COO that brought Boston work to Cumberland, As of right now there will not be another COO to send work back to Boston. All work currently in Cumberland will move to Cranston which will not require a new change just for the move. I can't see how Cranston will be able to handle that entire area out of 52 doors but that is the plan for now.

Rumors that I have been hearing are that New Penn's Springfield, Billerica and Albany terminals may also be in jeopardy of going to Yell/Roadway but these are just rumors at this point.

i stopped bye to eat crow, so to speak, everything is true what you said, includeing springfeild billirica and albany terminals. no coo, will happen either. only i heard it was more like 850,000 to redue cumberland, but really doesn't matter. now the question is will npme be allowed to spend the money to get these sh#t terminals we are being shoved into up to our standards. and, will it stop there. all up-state ny terminals are new within 10yrs. but well maintained that they look recently built. kearney big and new, as is trenton. phila. was added on to in past 10 yrs. maspeth 10 yrs.new also. ever y terminal well maintained, when stuff broke it was fixed, and done right. just heard now yrc new experiment,no new drive tires on tractors- we didnt get new till old were worn down to limit, but than got new michleins or goodyears- now told recaps will go on. what i dont understand is why to save cost, they didnt buy a tanker full of deisel, or 50,000 tires are 1million paper clips, or what ever. they couldnt even get those cost saveing synergys working to save millions.so now lets cut 1000's of jobs, send back office stuff to india, hey that will get wall street on our side, only i think this time they cryed wolf to many times.

Have the Springfield, Billerica and Albany moves been confirmed or is that still rumor?

confirmed by who? individual supervisors at said terminals have let these facts be known and i have tryed to confirm them with other reliable people i know.time will tell if it's the truth, but i don't start rumors, to get my rocks off. i think this is serious stuff that bothers me alot. we do things differantly ,we git it there over night, and our company as a whole plays a part in it, includeing our terminal set-up. we have always done more work with less people back when yellow was lucky to stay out of backruptcy, years ago. till now, from my point of view, yrc hasn't changed us much except for beating our TM'S with there stupid number crap, and reports.they have hit management harder by killing bonius's for acheiveing profit makeing running of npme, plus what ever they did recently to there pensions.this is first real deal that every day teamsters have seen working at npme, the stealing of our fairly new, but up to date and well maintained terminals, and also fully owned by npme, and paid for. i know we don't do the volume y/r does, but because we re-invested in our company with our profits both in equipment and terminals and technology to make us the best at what we do. and now to see these assh&*es takeing away from us because of there desperation or just total incompitance, well, just makes me rather fu&*ing mad. they will slowly dismantel a real money makeing american union company from the start-read the history of E. H.ARNOLDS little muti-million dollar empire-all because instead of being man enough of truely following best practices that don't come from there own parent company, these little dick pieces of sh%t, who think they know it all, will take from us all they can.this may be a bit nieve, but i hope that every time yrc trys to take from our company, we just step up a knotch and keep on makeing a bigger profit, as they sink further into the ground.
