    brothers and sisters all i can say is get ready for your pay checks to look very small 18.00 a hour 40 hours your eyeballs will fall out this is only part one next year they will want more wage cuts is the union reducing your union dues.

    I'm sure they will reduce them if there is Local By-Law language stating how much the dues will be. Normally it's 2.5 x the hourly rate. Some Locals will vary.

    $18.00? Are you sure? How do you know? I have not heard anyting yet. Just wondering

    what is going to happen to all the dock workers without a cdl. Here in portland, everyone that works dock or otherwise has a cdl. not so at roadway. I see a problem where a senior man, with a cdl, is going to be forced to a job he normally passes on because the junior man is not qualified, basically making seniority worthless. does anyone know if this is part of the negotiations.

    That seems a bit low. I would be very surprised if that was what Zollars and the Union agreed on.

    When ABF bought CAROLINA FREIGHT those that were red circle were not affected. Now a few fell through the crack and the paper work for them being red circle got lost and I had to win their jobs back. The Contract(The NMFA) States If one elects to transfer to another location they will have 60 days in order to become CDL qualified if there are no dock only jobs. And the company has to provide the equipment and a trainer for the said employees.

    Well they're asking for 15%. The top rate in New England is 22.68 (23.68 for a UE) 15% of 22.68 is 3.40, so your pay would be reduced to 19.28 per hour. I again would urge YRC members to vote no. If you vote yes they will take the money and run and or violate every term of the agreement anyway. And Hoffa will do nothing. What do you expect from a former corporate lawyer.

    This is going to be a big problem unless the IBT or the Local has taken care of this problem.

    I understand what you mean. If we did have straight line seniority at my barn there could be dock workers or switchers bumped to driving jobs and they don't ave CDL's
