I cannot believe, that people are going to fall for this crap. Do you really think that all these companies are going to close, forcing all these corporate scumbags to hit the bricks without hope of another job?

If you add up all the mangement people that are connected to these companies, it will be in the thousands. These people are hoping very much that you will buy into this.

All that freight will have to be hauled by somebody folks, as far as I know, they can't fax or email boxes and pallets can they? If this thing passes, it will be a sad day for the rank and file!

Thanks for posting....I think management @ Yellow could learn from New Penn's Pres. They do not communicate well with the rank & file. I found out I was being laid off last November when I came to work & the bids were posted & 14 bids were missing. Then I got the "registered" letter the next day.

wow i cant believe the first letter from the New Penn guy. He must really hate union workers. does he really think the reason we are not competitive is because of our wages and HW. Well i guess thats all they have to blame it on cause management would never blame themselves.

I have been off the site for awhile. So if I sound a little behind please excuse me. But the way I read that letter is if say Yellow Roadway employees vote to give back but the Holland and or New Penn employees don't then they will not be forced to give back. Is this the case. Remember wage regression ? Remember how all the companys including those not in trucking jumped on the band wagon ? This is just the beginning again. Watch how many other companys jump on this once it settles.

    Muler,
go reread Smidt's letter. first of all, New Penn's votes are being counted seperate from the rest of us. This is due to the nature of their "me too" agreement. Not only will they be counted seperate, they will have a direct affect on New Penn's ability to continue to receive funding from YRC, should they vote no. We were also told the same thing at our meeting on Sunday.
