We seem unable to get out of the deep hole the executives have dug by buying one too many big companies and not making enough profit to pay the debts off. Bad deal.

It's not over Brothers. It seems like a hole to deep to climb out of. But believe me you will over come. There is just to much money for big investors to walk away from. With the selling of the terminals that should show that YRC has more than enough assets to satisfy the creditors. If they didn't they would not have been allowed to sell the properties. There are people waiting to pick up YRC at a low price if it ever comes to that. Don't think for one second that the end is near for I don't believe it is. I will say that you should do all you can when working to assure that the Teamster part of YRC in not seen in a negative light. This coming from someone who doesn't trust one person in management. Don't let it be said that YRC failed because of the Teamster employees. I really believe you will succeed it might be a totally different looking company but you are going to make it. I was against the give back but now that it is done live with it and move forward. I feel YRC has some of the best Teamsters that you could ask for. Don't let anyone side track you move forward and succeed. As I see it you have two choices one to lay down and quit or two pick yourselves up off the ground and prove to the rest of the industry that the Teamsters never quit and overcome all adversities. YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS.

You know what I find to be slightly amusing ( sarcasm ) ? It has been documented time and time again that the disparity between executive and worker compensation has grown by x amount of percent in the last 30 years. The folks that are selected to run corporations are getting richer, while the working man suffers. Logic would say that the folks with the huge pay checks, benefit packages, and bonuses would be at least capable of keeping their company status quo. Instead, they run good outfits into the ground and they aren't even held accountable. Amazing.

Profits or losses, stocks up or down, the average worker gets paid nearly the same. Maybe the breed of CEOs is just working harder while everyone else is just treading water...

Just like oil sooner or later enough will be enough and the "price tag" will go down.
