    Default YRC and our future

With the company taken our pension and showing no signs of returning our full wages, do we even have a future? If so, what will our wages be? Will we be able to retire? If so, at what age? I'm not seeing much of a future! I'm open for any positive or other replies.

I have worked for lots of out of business companies. My resume makes future employers tremble in fear if they hire me their business is doomed. They have been all union companies. Red Owl Foods, LCL Transit,Foreway Express and now the Great YRC. I know that when I pass on to the promised land I will see some of my friends there and they all will say Good Job Lanier. It has been a good run. So if you see me at ABF It might take me a while but I have a mission in mind. I am union because of the contract agreement. All my life I have found its better to have a signed agreement between the two parties involved. You know what is required of you and you know what you are going to earn. It is up to the parties involved to enforce the agreement. If you have doubts ask your wife does she have a hand shake agreement?

I've been married 21yrs. in June, I have three kids and I've worked for many out of business companies. Transcon, Rite-Aid closed the shop and started to lease equipment, Preston, USF Red Star and now the big R- Yellow whoever they are now. I'm going on 30yrs. in trucking, in reverse. Don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful I still have a good union job but, the the H&W and Pension Fund are the main reason we put up with this unsecure future. I'm heartbroken over the families that continue to lose because of corporate GREED!

And how can you help but worry??? Because we thought (wrong!) we were in a stable job we bought a house, a new truck and a motorcycle...(yeah, I know it was stupid) still paying on all and really don't want to lose any of them,. In all reality, it could happen anyway. Been layed off for two weeks, and am looking for new employment. Lost all trust in YRC, not sure I want to be called back.
Already have high blood pressure and yes, it's thanks to YRC.
Can't change where I've been, just looking for a brighter future.

We will know our future if our H&W isn't paid on time. This will be the truth revailed.
