thanks for the post. seems like no one wants to admit that yrc is doing all they can to ruin our pension and the "powers thatbe" seem hellbent on helping them.

No one is admitting it because it is not true.

You really don't believe that YRCW is trying to break or bust the Union?

It must be in the back of your minds that, my company pays millions more each month to put me in a truck than the non-union has to pay. Eventually this will catch up with us, and I believe this is some of the problem we are in now.

How long would you last if you owned a business and it cost you 20 or 30 % more to operate that your competitor? Please don't throw at me we are teamsters and we deserve it. We do, but it is still costing YRCW and ABF much more to operate. The World is much different now than when the NMFA came into being. It has finally caught up with us. We have got to change or be unemployed. I am a Teamster, but there is a lot of truth in what I just said, I will admin it, and many will not.

    Teamster,
A lot of guys either don't know or refuse to believe how critical things are at this point. And then some will listen to the chit house attorneys at work who think they're in the know and have it all figured out. Both sides of this deal are desperately trying to find a way for YRC to survive. Nobody likes it but it's the way things are.

Many prefer to believe a lie than the truth...

We could use fedex as a comparison as big as they are. Their 401 was taken away..no vote. Not sure if they took a pay cut probably did. Using part timers while regulars stay home. That's freakin out. More cuts coming. fed ex is fed up and some are beggin for a union

Hey , I looked on the YRC web site for this fact sheet and I couldn't find it. Could you give me the site address so I can share it?

I don't have any idea as to what may come out of Wednesday's Pension Funds meetings with the IBT but I can't believe that YRCW's financial problems will be solved by eliminating the so called "orphans" or even ending contributions to the MEPFs.
