Default The IBT is not at fault here.

The IBT is not at fault with the problems at YRCW. Why do some of you keep placing blame on them for this? It really is getting very old to hear the same old rant all the time.

What if the IBT had said NO right up front?? We YRCW would not be here today. The IBT would have sold us out then, but they have not.

And you keep saying that same old song and dance for which there is no proof. It is no secret that you back the one's in office. And that is your right but there is a lot of us who feel they have done a terrible job. And there are those that believe they will keep tearing our union apart. Now they want a seat on the board. Go back in my post when I stated this should happen months ago I was told by you and several other's that this was impossible for the TEAMSTER'S could not have any say in how YRC would run their company. You see some can see ahead when their head is not buried in the sand. The time for excuses have long came and gone.YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS!

Although not entirely at fault IMO they do share some responsibility, the biggest allowing UPS to get out of the CSPF for which I believe was the start of the spiraling downfall of pension problems and second not putting UPSF under the NMFA,when Hoffa sr. started this it was to put all companies on the same playing field, not to give one a sweetheart deal and better advantage against the rest, another blunder just to get membershipNo one can tell me the IBT did not know what was going on at YRC.Where was Hoffa, the big corporate lawyer??Maybe out on the golf course without his cellphoneDon't get me wrong,I am a big union supporter and now I think it is time to get new leadership... and you say, what if the IBT said no up front??? we would be not be here right now..then I would guess they already knew about the problems at YRCW....

That is a fact. A long haul carrier cannot be profitable unless they load all outbound trailers high and tight. That's where the damage is done. You overnite carriers are able to make money because your area is small enough to have no need for high and tight. You are such a proud and elite carrier.. Maybe they should merge USF and New Penn into a coast to coast carrier and let YRC be the overnite regional carrier. You will see some numbers changing fast

To answer your question as to YRC going out of business if they did not get the give back. Zollars never took that money and paid the long term debt as he said the money would be used. So the banks never got the money but yet they did not pull the plug. YRC is still losing money and yet the banks did not pull the plug. Now all YRC employees will be donating over a billion dollars to which nobody knows where it will go. Can you tell me where the first give back money went? Can you tell me why HOFFA let UPS out of the CSPF by the way a move that made Zollars powerful because he then controlled the fund by being the largest contributor? Now all ABF and retiree's are at this idiot's mercy. And from what I have seen that he has done to his own people we are in trouble. But yet you never come out and say these things just that if we keep giving everything will be alright. Why don;t we union TEAMSTERS just drop down to $10.00 an hour and really help Zollars out. I tried to not enter another post on this thread for it seems to upset several BROTHERS so for those BROTHERS I am sorry. But I will never be sorry for speaking how I feel. YOUR BROTHER ALWAYS!

No point in going on with this, not many can understand what I am saying.
