I'm a Chicago 309 driver, we are currently under seige by Y.R.C. I'm a 12 year extra board driver and with what was a 954 man board we are now down to 607 as of last week. The company is sending foriegn drivers into 309 and then running them to other foriegn terminals. While they can do this as long as the driver can get back on a A-B-C dispatch we have caught some that haven't. As you can imagine the ******** aren't cooperating and this is most certainly punishment for our NO vote, ( I haven't worked since last Wedneday) but I just hit them with a $1800 runaround and the more we can hit them the more they'll think twice about violating our contract. If your forced out just contact me. You'll be helping out. Further, if your a driver doing more than you should be. Stop it! Your a part of the problem. Find your spine! Many brothers and sisters are losing too much for your filthy greed. You can contact me by Private Message. Good luck to all of us.

Coaster 13...We are all in this together. No one local is above any other local. Your board is only down 1/3 of its workforce where as many others are down over 1/2. Whether fair or not, YRC is going to start to filter freight out of Chicago by beefing up the Indianapolis and Coldwater facilities. You will only see Chicago proper freight in near future. They certainly will screw you for voting the concessions down. They need cheaper costs at every level for the time being. Get prepared for it. There is a posting on our message board saying that YRC is prepared to divert work around those with White Paper agreements facilities. There is going to be alot of pressure on your Locals to preserve jobs in the coming weeks. This next statement is just percieved by things I hear as I dont have first hand knowledge. Chicago and their "White Paper" agreements are not looked on well by other Locals. It seems that Chicago has an arrogance that they are above everyone else. Again, just word of mouth. It is believed when they do start to divert freight out of Chicago that you guys will start misloading and destroying it to get back at the company. This will only expedite the loss of jobs for everyone. Chicago will lose tons of jobs whether its right or wrong. Maybe your leaders there misguided their workforce, thinking that acting tough would show the company what you are made of. It just might cost you a job. I wonder when the TEAM left the STERS. It seems like everyone is out for only their own good. My heart goes out to all the people affected by this situation, whether caused by the economy or YRCW management or cost prohibitive Union contracts. Every job has a family that has needs behind it. I pray that things will improve and this struggle will be short lived.

Seems to me that 710 and 705 are the only locals that are still real TEAMSTERS and not run by the company and I respect you guys for having the "stones" to stand up and demand what you are entitled to and are willing to fight for it that's a hell of a lot more than the other locals are doing. We in Buffalo have the lane to Chicago and we should not be dispatched in another direction other than back east in the direction of our home terminal unless the Chicago board is exauested. And believe me if they dispatch me lets say to KC or MEM I damn sure will let it be known because I have a special pen that your stewards will call attention to right away.
I think that mishandleing and destroying freight is just adding to the problem and I'm sure that the majority of you guys look at it the same way,but all it takes is a few bad apples to screw it up for everyone.
I know that I am ranting and raving but it just pisses me off to hear guys that are supposed to be "Brothers"talk about their brother the way they do anymore, when the company is trying to screw your brother you stand with him you don't take the companies side and say "well they asked for it"so they get what they deserve,to me that is not brotherhood, the one we supposedly took an oath to uphold,I wonder just how many so called TEAMSTERS today ever had to take that oath and just how many ever really read the words, because if they did we probably would not hear half the B.S. we here .

Last time I looked, we are the Teamsters Union. Our leaders (whether you trust them or not) had continuous meetings and negotiations with YRCW on how the company can be saved. The Teamsters hired their own financial wizards and gurus to look at the finances of YRCW. Our leaders concluded the best way for this company to survive were the concessions. If we don't take them, this company folds, PERIOD!!! If you believe they could continue at the cost structure they were at then you are an idiot. We live together and we die together. All Im saying is good for you Chicago guys for standing strong. I dont think it will prove to be a good move. YRC is going to skull **** you for voting no and will start to divert freight from your terminals. Your Seniority Board that you said was at 613 will diminish to hardly anything. Its just the way it will be. I dont support it nor do I condone it, but I cant control it. I believe the Chicago terminals were the only ones to vote it down. You guys do have balls of steel. Unfortunately, YRCW is going to rip them off and shove them up your ***. I feel bad for all the lower seniority that will be without jobs because you stood strong.

Local 618 St.Louis also voted it down. White paper shop agreement. We re-vote Thursday. I think the first vote was 16 to 7 against. I have also heard the Indy Shop voted it down as well, but have no facts to back this up.

They're doing it because we voted no to the additional 5% giveback and the withholding to our pension contribution. Our feeling is that if you want something from us, spitting in our faces is not exactly a good way to go about getting it. Labor didn't mismanage this company into utter chaos. Retarded pencil pushers who know NOTHING about how to run freight, or communicate with working men & women with dignity or respect created this mess my friend.
