I'm not angry at all about the saving of YRC. No I just don't think it came about the same way as you do. And HBF I will give credit where credit is due. Do you think that those money people did this out of fear of what Hoffa would do. Just as 44 said he doesn't think they did anything illegal. I am just glad the YRC Teamsters get to keep working. And as far as giving praise. I will wait and see what really happened.

Muler I have to agree with you on this ..Having worked for USF Redstar I sort of remember how Hoffa and gang jumped all over the settlement our lawyers got on the warn actJumped right out and told the media that they got the settlement when in fact it was just the opposite..Kinda like the story they told about the closing of Redstar and how far it was from the truth..I will praise Hoffa and company when they can prove what they did and besides Isn't this what they are paid to do..

It was stated in another thread that even TDU (a group I really don't even like to mention) praised the IBT on this. That in itself should be proof enough as Hoffa, Johnson, etc. probably can't even go to the bathroom without TDU finding something to be negative about.

I guess we'll all wait now for some proof that the planned protests had absolutely nothing to do with the change of heart by GS and Brigade Capital.....but I get the feeling we'll be waiting forever on that.

I was trying to cover all those words in your two posts.
My point was that the union helped us out, "just this once."

After you get the real story on the YRC thing, tell us who killed Kennedy too.

Hoffa got the blame for that one also. But it was Senior not Junior on a documentary that I saw on TV. Johnson also got blamed for that one to.
Lyndon Baines Johnson, Not Tyson. Sooner or later someone on here will probably blame our James and Tyson, they sure seem to be guilty of about everything else in somes's eyes.

I doubt goldmansachs was worried about the teamsters, though i think they see a profit in the future through YRC being the largest LTL carrier, just my oppinion. Where was the teamsters when Preston went under cus they could'nt get any credit, supposedly Preston was debt free when yellow lettem go then closed a yr later. But i understand Preston was only a quarter the size of yrc so they were expendable. Its just getting down to the nitty gritty only two big carriers left when it comes to teamster driven companies

Entirely a different situation Brother. They were closed buy the owners not hedge fund and the stock market. Apples and oranges. Where were the teamsters when ........ ......... ........ ....... fill in the blanks. This is this situation and they made a difference thankfully even if no one will admit it. Damn when TDU says it there must be something to it because they never ever as far as I can remember have ever given Hoffa credit for anything good.
