Yeah, that green one is for cultivation - not navigation.

We can't afford KFC. It had to be leftovers.

Re: Hey Driver!!!!!! Leggo dat chicken!!!!
I thought I might be veering off, but I find this is very much part of this subject;
it befuddles me to hear how you guys talk about the union mentality concerning lunches and breaks, and how you can stop and eat and live once in a while.
Now I'm taking into account that most of you are NMFA, but here at Reddaway we have been organized about 25 years or so, and we've only been on mileage since 1997. When these guys went to mileage, they were convinced that they'd be losing money .
Ever since wages have gradually gone up with time, but 95% of my co-workers run down the road like the grim reaper's chasin' them . I only wish just 50% of the guys would take their contractual lunches and breaks, so that when the two guys that do, don't get harassed and quizzed on what took them so long . God forbid if they pat the other 95% on the back for giving to the company 90 free minutes of their day for a lunch and two breaks .
No, no,no, let's just beat the other 5% for working within the rules that are guaranteed to them as per the rules that the company agreed to in the first place .

Re: Hey Driver!!!!!! Leggo dat chicken!!!!
 What happened to this thread? Originally we were having fun picking on a guy who survived a horrific chicken eating mishap, and now it's a contractual debate. And, by the way, CITY SLICKER wins with his post:
"He was charged with driving under the influence of seven herbs and spices."

Really?????
Are you just tugging at my pantleg????
I know I put up a serious point, but do really think contractual lunches and breaks has nothing to do with a guy choking on chicken cause he "doesn't have time" to take a break.

Good Union freight road jobs were never meant to be races, although many drivers have decided they were. These jobs were always good paying so that nobody had to run like a chicken with it's head cut off. But somewhere along the way greedy ones figured out that if they didn't stop they could beat the guy in who followed the rules and did stop and maybe get out ahead of him next trip. We always had it in our local work rules and running times that at least a one hour break had to be taken for all runs over 270 miles and a half hour for those under. The company, Yellow at the time, would give warning letters if you didn't abide by the rule. At least this is how it was in STL.

Re: Hey Driver!!!!!! Leggo dat chicken!!!!
Another thing that may have been overlooked here is that the tractor looks like a rental that Glen Moore would have.
