Default Leave Of Absense
If you take the LOA,do you still have to pay union dues or can you take a withdrawal till you come back??

Pretty sure you can take a withdrawl but sure they will tell you at the hall when you ask.

Crazy, I don't know this to be a fact. But a friend of mine took a LOA from New Penn and while he was on probation in a different local he had to pay dues to both 641 & 863.

You can get a withdrawal card. But if your local doesn't know I would go over their head and find out for sure and why they don't know or didn't find out for you. The best answer is "Ask your hall or steward" if they don't know your in trouble.

Where can I get paper work for LOA? I have ask my T/M twice for the paper work to fill out for the LOA, should be going on pipeline late Apr or May time frame. he just has a B/A look on his face everytime I ask, don't want to screw with it.

Hey plowboy you pay no dues just make sure you get your withdrawl card, I have been on leave since late December. Good luck And the paper work is nothing two pages, I called my terminal Mgr. and he mailed to me. I did send it back cerfied to him just to make sure it got there and proof someone signed for it.

Had a couple of brothers who did the same and the TM was clueless. Had them call HR and they mailed it to them. Ceritifed the letter back to TM and also to the union hall to cover both ends
