    Default Possible Strike?

The TM just held a meeting.:

Apparently, our Local has given YRC seven days to resolve the pension issue or we will strike.

They sure do things strange out there? Does you Local have its own pension plan? I would have thought a strike notice would have to come from the International.

Gotta get crackin' here... I'll be on and off.

What we were told, it's only our local... right now. I emphasized right now because word is spreading that more locals may follow. The IBT regional freight coordinator paid a visit to the terminal yesterday with picket signs. He will address our men today.

It was the Terminal Mgr who addressed the issue this morning, however.

This is not what the IBT agreed to in order to keep the doors open and save jobs.

And this tactic is supposed to somehow persuade the pension fund trustees to accept the partial payment offer??

    Cant be......
Even I distinctly have understood for over a year that there's no way that anyone will re-enter the WCPFT at anything less than the full rate. It's been in the rules way before Yellow started destroying Roadway and USF.

Its about time the union grew a set and took a stand !
Yellow destroying roadway. What a joke...
When the merge happened we all went to roadways rules and outdated computer system ( we had to save money ) we needed to get out of the 18 century . But alas we all go down weather it be roadlow or yellow. I vote STRIKE.!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Western States Pension Fund could authorize a strike over a pension issue the IBT sanctioned? The IBT has nothing to do with the Funds but I thought only they could authorize a strike? Oh well, maybe not
