what's up with 422
we are a end of line barn and we get inbound loads from them. the pass few weeks their loads look like sh##. 800 lbs skids stack on 200 lbs skids, frt laying on side and broken down skids. we get trls with 8 to 10 skids of family dollar on rear with only 4 or 5 shipments in the noise. monday we had a van come in with 2 skids of 5 gal pails. they had push a bucket for a bobcat into the pails, oil was every where. they had no cardboard, plywood or anything protecting the pails. it is a standing joke if you open a 422 trl raise the door and run like hell. if we send a outbound load with any upset frt to 422 or 402 they are e-mailing pictures like mad. it will take twice as long to break a 422 trl than a 402 trl. are the dock forman pushing to get trls loaded to make run times, are they working so short handed they just push and shove frt in the trl.

Re: what's up with 422
It's not just 422, it's happening throughout. My sweetheart says much depends on the individual's work ethic,
or lack thereof.
830 is breakbulk and also dealing with crappy inbound trailers as of late (certainly some of 830s outbound trailers must look crappy, too.)
"open a xxx trl, raise the door and run like hell" seems to be the norm ....

Reminds me of the loads we used to get out of 120 Tannersville Pa. Somethings never change. A lot of it is vandalism. They can't be that stupid.

Re: what's up with 422
Part of the blame should be put on the outbound supervisors as it seems they would rather sit in the office talking football then to be out walking the dock and doing their job.
