    Default The New YRC

Ever wonder where this compny is headed if the new contracr hoes through ?
We envision a watkins type company where the company drivers dissapear through attrition and the contractors start pulling our trailers .
The company turning into a poor place to be .A lot of people think a yes vote insured a job. It may not be the one you want .What do you think .

Slap me before I start if you want but not looking for a "JOB", there are hundreds of them available and the new battle cry of Corporate America, just ask our Brother and Sisters at Boeing Seattle that got hoodwinked into a new contract, take concessions or lose your "JOB", that's the problem with our country and destruction of good paying blue collar "CAREERS",anyone can get a "JOB",shoveling, digging, sweeping or flipping whatever, when one reduces what we as professional drivers do to what amounts to unskilled labor it's no wonder The IBT has lost clout and the ability to retain and attract members, not sorry to say that!.

Yes, husband works for ABF but I totally have to agree with you on this because I think the same thing could happen at ABF. What happens at one company affects the other and if these companies keep chipping away at everything, the only thing you are going to have left will be the title "teamster" and nothing to go with it.

Reddaway used so much pay power out of Fontana the guys finally got fed up and joined The IBT,still a significant number of gippos pulling freight out under the contract terms, what really gets me steamed is the company is selling service based on our driving and safety record, one driver who could barely speak English couldn't find the scale much less his way out of the yard pulling one of our trailers, moreover who is keeping track of the amount of miles these scabs are actually racking up,once again the numbers can be manipulated to look like they are in compliance, this is one grey area that will be abused and used at every opportunity, speaking from first hand experience here!.

New cameras, huh? Oooh, you should see what kind of technology this company has in place. It is so f'n evil, I almost love it.

Oops, I mean the company has a good customer-based system in place for providing a safe, clean, working environment for everyone.

Yellow freight told us at roadway after the aquisition that they were gong to run the company like con way because it was the best business model they could find. Then they flipped yje ohio barns to only run west and now they say they cant get freight moved off the east coast. Funny. After the flip they layed off over 300 drivers who all ran east coast. Maybe the reason we.had such big.barms in ohio was to move freight off the coast?? Management is stupid and incompetant.

I have to disagree with you.
