Default YRC Tractor Hit By Train?

"A train hit a tractor-trailer in Kernersville Friday afternoon during rush hour traffic. Kernersville Police said the driver of the tractor-trailer was crossing a private railroad crossing and didn't hear or see the train approaching. The train clipped the passenger side of the vehicle."

We had a guy get hit by a train over a year ago . I think he is still fired . It was out in the country where amtrak went threw . I have been there many times and never would have guessed amtrak went threw there . I thought it was an abandoned spur. So you never know and our old crap trucks are loud and most of us have lost hearing from years of the crap trucks from our crap company can afford . It would be easier to happen that you would think . I am sure yrc is crucifying this guy and throwing him under the bus or train in this case .

We had a few railroad crossings in our area without gates and I learned to look both ways before crossing..The best one is an abandoned track that is owned by the Metronorth here and every once in a while they will send a track car down to inspect the tracks.. All the crossings along this track have "abandoned crossing" signs which in New York mean that buses and trucks with haz-mat on them do not have to stop..But we have had our share of trucks getting stuck on some RR crossings. The last one a few months ago when a car carrier got stuck.. Took a few hours to get him off and it was a crossing that saw freight trains about every 20 minutes or so.. Often wondered who got the bill for that one..

I hope the driver is OK. I don't see the company doing that, besides it was one of those trucks. A little duck-tape and it is as good as the rest of those trucks. Now IMO, if it was the other solid color truck, the driver should be reprimanded on the spot for damaging good equipment. j/k
