this is quite a change. Very disturbing to me. I know abf will follow suit as soon as they see big R making the change. It looks like the start of the end of road drivers, as we know it? Even the union makes it sound pleasant by saying overall it adds 2 teamster jobs and gets most drivers home every day?
We're all going to end up as conway style drivers at some point?

I know at our local they were sales-pitching hard plus they said if it did not pass YRC would be broke inside of 3 years. I still voted no. This utility driver thing is gonna hurt them down the road. at 23 even 24 dollars an hour it puts earnings at 920 to 960 a week. A far cry from linehaul pay.

Our Local was selling this thing hard too. I voted NO. We still had time to get a real contract, we didn't need to pucker up and sell ourselves down the river like this.
