Truly amazing! I remember when ABF made all the threats about having to close terminals everywhere if the members didn't vote a certain way. Then they went out and bought Panther and started I don't know how many other companies. It really is time for the Hoffa administration to go.

Like I said before. We will be ratifying a paycheck. If anyone thought any different they are mistaken.

Let's see the testicular fortitude of the YRC employees. Will it be the same apathetic response as we've seen from our brothers and sisters at other companies when it was their contract in the light?

I just about laughed myself silly when you mentioned pension wizard. Sad, sorry, state of affairs. We have been "reduced" in more ways than one.

The ONLY people that lose out if their doors close is the goons at the ibt getting rich on your dues money,....

Pension will be "maintained" by current contribution level of $2.80/hr. Our whopping $7 per year of service. Even our BA said we'd be better off if it went into the 401k. Wonder if it(pension) was even discussed?

First, when's the last time you priced out our wages and benefits against what the nons offer? Dollar for dollar. I've had this conversation more than once with non union drivers and they get mighty quiet when I break down our compenation and benefits package.

Second, the IBT aren't the only one's that lose out. That's a big hit to our locals. Every YRC employee's family will feel it too. The ripple effect touches many walleye.

The 401k was our only choice here in the west B'oink. The WSPT would not accept a partial contribution. Needless to say, I would rather have had it in a pension.

About every 2 1/2 years now equals 1 years contribution prior to the concessions. We only need to work until we're 80 or so to retire. What a deal!

Union negotiators “pushed the company to the absolute limit,” Soehl said. “Every member of our negotiating committee believes the [YRC Worldwide] companies cannot afford any more money than what is contained in this tentative agreement and that there is not a single penny more to get.”

The exact same words that was told to ABF employees. These clowns supposedly looked over the books before negotiating either contract and can’t say for certain that this is it but we believe that is all sounds like just stating things without actual facts. Just my two cents and hoping for the best to my brother and sister teamsters.

Ain't it funny how they couldn't squeeze out anything for the back end of the agreement? Why didn't they work on the future and retirement for those that stuck with them first? I guess "economics" is always the sticking point and our retirements no longer fit there?
