So much for the Teamsters pressuring the Democrats ahead of inauguration...

Teamsters pressure Democrats ahead of inauguration

AHEAD OF PRESIDENT-ELECT JOE BIDEN’S inauguration on Tuesday, the 1.4-million member International Brotherhood of Teamsters is hoping to remind Biden — and the Democratic leaders now in control of Congress — of the union’s priorities. It plans to launch a grassroots “Build Back Stronger” campaign today to push for seven pages of policy changes that organized labor has been seeking for years, according to a copy of the proposal shared with Morning Shift.

BIDEN GETS TO WORK: Expect a flurry of executive actions from the incoming president, our Tyler Pager reports. After being sworn in on Wednesday, Biden will rescind the travel ban on several majority-Muslim countries and extend limits on student loan payments and evictions instituted during the pandemic, Tyler writes. Incoming White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain outlined Biden’s first 10 days in office in a memo to senior staff on Saturday. For example: On his second day, Biden will sign executive actions focused on addressing the Covid-19 pandemic, including actions meant to help schools and businesses reopen safely, increase testing, protect workers and establish clearer public health standards. And on his third day, Biden will direct his Cabinet to work on delivering economic relief to families most affected by the crisis.

Biden also plans to expand “Buy America provisions” in the subsequent days, as well as take action to advance “equity and support communities of color” and work toward reuniting families separated at the border, among other actions.

Imagine that... not one word about the pipeline in that article when it came to the list of the union’s priorities. I guess that's not important to Junior anymore... he just abandoned that like he did with trucking decades ago. That's right Teamsters... Biden cares for you just about as much as Junior does!!!

                  Re: Pretend President Joe Biden

Like Biden got 81,000,000 votes.. Sad part there are many many on the left that buy into this bullsh*t ..

Biden Inauguration Video Gets Only 320,000 Views on Official White House YouTube Channel – Comments Turned Off – But Biden Got 81 Million Votes

Joe Biden’s inauguration video was so unpopular that it is now “unlisted” on the White House YouTube channel.

The video got 322,000 views, and more than 14,000 “down votes” to 3,600 “up votes” – that’s how unpopular Joe Biden is.

The comments are also turned off to prevent people from trolling senile Biden.

But we’re expected to believe Joe Biden got the most votes in US history.
Virtually no one showed up to see senile Joe slur his way through his swearing in ceremony.

Biden had ten times as many military men and women protecting his inauguration today like they do in any lawless banana republic.

A sparse ‘crowd’ gathered on BLM Plaza to listen to sleepy Joe’s speech but the media wants us to believe in ‘Biden mania.’

They either buy into it or accept the fact of a fraudulent election is Ok just as long as it benefited them. I noticed that more and more media sites are beginning to turn their comment sections off... mostly liberal ones... I wonder why...

                        Re: Pretend President Joe Biden

                        Joe Biden's quest for legitimacy

Joe Biden's insiders-only inaugural, with a mere thousand people, but plenty of television broadcast, was a pretty elegant affair. The bunting was red white and blue and hung down perfectly, the large signs for the event were projected in gold in a classic gold society typeface. It might be tempting to dismiss this unimaginative traditionalism, done up opulently, as Biden's nature, what with him being a doddering old fogey and a non-ivy social climber, and it might even be partly true, but a couple of things suggest something different.

One, Biden's agenda with Harris at his side is extremely radical, so radical it makes Obama look conservative. Were Biden to do a crazy inaugural with pop stars showing their butts and hipsters in beards looking at their laptops, and religion out of the picture, the public might get alarmed more quickly, before he could get anything done.

Two, the elephant in the room - that much of the public still thinks Biden is in office based on electoral fraud. Biden knows it, which likely explains why the comments were disabled from his live YouTube official inaugural videos, as well as his own repeated call for unity, even as leftists talk about censorship, tribunals, and China-style social credit scores.

With fraud the unspoken undercurrent and the agenda very radical, making an inaugural as legitimate and conventional looking as possible, not at all cutting edge as Obama's had been, seems to be a Biden high priority. Biden's conventionality seems to be a bid to be seen as recognizable, not as the unusual thing he is, a president taking power by dint of many kinds of electoral irregularities, but a regular Joe who made it same as the others. With that on voters' minds, as well as the radical agenda, the old shoe comfort, and big displays of power, seem to be the necessary, and calculated visuals.

Call it Biden's quest for legitimacy.

                          Re: Pretend President Joe Biden

And now for all those political favors to be called in.. With millions still out of work due to the virus ,American workers are getting bitch slapped on both sides.. With Biden ready with his amnesty BS and now the US cahamer of congress wants to import more workers to satisfy their corporate sponsors with "Cheap" labor.. Way to go Sleepy Joe!!

U.S. Chamber to Joe Biden: You Can Help Americans by Importing Foreign Workers

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce says its corporate members can create jobs for Americans if President Joe Biden’s amnesty and migration bill provides them with “the world’s most talented and industrious people.”

The chamber made the January 20 press statement as it applauded Biden’s draft “U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021” that would dramatically accelerate the inflow of foreign workers into Americans’ blue-collar and white-collar jobs. The statement said:
The changes proposed in President Biden’s legislative plan would help many businesses meet their critical workforce needs. Having the world’s most talented and industrious people contribute to our economy drives growth, and in turn, creates jobs for hardworking Americans.

“Nobody believes that,” responded Jessica Vaughan, policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies. The chamber’s companies have shown they want to bring in lower-skilled compliant migrants to take the support jobs created by higher-skilled migrants, even though millions of creative, hard-working, and outspoken Americans are ready to fill both categories of jobs, she said.

The Chamber’s support for Biden’s labor importation bill was explained by Tom Collamore, a former vice president at the chamber. “This is key to stimulating investment of capital [money] that has been sitting on the sidelines, and which would lead to new jobs and economic growth,” Collamore said in a January 19 New York Times article.

“They’re hoarding [the sidelined capital] because they want to invest in [low wage] foreign workers … instead of using it to advance productivity, technology, or wages for American workers,” Vaughan responded. “It is a pretty straightforward admission that what they’re concerned about is their own profits, not the well-being of workers or [technological] modernization.”

“The chamber thinks that Americans who are out of work are not industrious or talented and should be consigned to subsidiary jobs, welfare, and the dole for the rest of their lives,” she added.

In the 2020 election, the U.S. Chamber backed numerous Democratic candidates, largely because the Democrats promised to inflate the labor supply with cheap foreign workers.

“If you have ten people for every job, you’re not gonna have a drive [up] in wages,” Tom Donohue, the CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, explained to Breitbart News in January 2020. “If you have five people for every ten jobs, wages are going to go up,” he complained.
The vast majority of Americans tell pollsters that the federal government should ensure Americans have decent jobs before it allows companies to import more foreign workers.

The polls show Americans’ deep and broad opposition to labor migration and the inflow of temporary contract workers into the skilled jobs needed by young and mid-career American graduates.

The multi-racial, cross-sex, non-racist, class-based opposition to labor migration co-exists with generally favorable personal feelings toward legal immigrants and toward immigration in theory — despite the media’s magnification of many skewed polls that still push the 1950’s “Nation of Immigrants” claim.

The public’s civic solidarity is derided by investor-backed progressives as “xenophobia.” But migration moves money from employees to employers, from families to investors, from young to old, from children to their parents, from homebuyers to real estate investors, and from the central states to the coastal states.

Migration also allows investors and CEOs to skimp on labor-saving technology, sideline U.S. minorities, ignore disabled people, exploit stoop labor in the fields, shortchange labor in the cities, impose tight control and pay cuts on American professionals.

Migration also helps corral technological innovation by minimizing the employment of American graduates, undermine Americans’ labor rights, and redirect progressive journalists to cheerlead for Wall Street’s priorities and claims.
