Workers hit picket line at Austintown company

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - About 33 Teamsters are off the job Monday at a company in Austintown.
Members of Teamsters District Council #3 hit the picket line about 6 a.m. at the Cubbison Company on Victoria Road.
District President Israel Castro said his members have been working without a contract since December. Castro said the union had filed an unfair labor practice complaint.
Castro said a meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday where a federal mediator will be present.
Calls made to a Cubbison phone number rang continuously busy. The company has not responded yet to an inquiry sent by email to Cubbison headquarters.
