More and more imports every year from U.S.-based companies that ship work to China for cheap assembly. When they are shipped back to the U.S. they are called imports even though they are profiting American-owned companies. A lot of it is work that used to be done here. Any company that could move work to China or Mexico will move work.
Remember, it's not how much you pay for imports it's how little you pay. The American way. It's how Trump made his money. The UAW, why US autos are made in Mexico. The BCTGM, why Oreo's are made in Mexico. The total pay package for the UAW will be $90.00 an hour by 2019. Unskilled labor making $100 dollars an hour. Only in America. This is all tied together to keep it on topic

Keep on topic.
Let's see ... cars $40,000 plus.
I-phones ... $700.
Computers and TV's ... thousands.
Nothing is cheaper.
Sure, cheap assembly and high prices ... all so the corporation make more.
We pay more, not less.
Another beanus fool statement.

You can't just jump right over the 70's Japanese trade phenomena right into 1985 and China.
The auto and electronics industry started decling then. And with them went everything.
The leak is old and huge.
Trump has the only answer to fix it and set us on the right path at all IMO.
Even then the plans must be continued...and corruption will fight it every step of the way for eternity.
We need borders to contain and cure the sickness. Trade borders and legal national borders.

Jobs related to exports are in the millions. The worst case scenario is China and Mexico retaliate that would eliminate exports thus eliminate export jobs
American companies are sending work to China and Mexico not for just cheaper labor costs but because of high corporate taxes. Much lower corporate taxes will bring jobs back, not punishing the American manufacturers who flee because they fear a Sanders or Hillary presidency who will increase taxes. Most Americans want to buy quality stuff, cars, clothes, phones whatever, that is inexpensive and could not give a crap where it's made. I say a-gain low cost labor in high profit manufacturing is a thing of the past in America, jobs may never come back if corporate taxes are not reduced big time along with eliminating Obamacare which will drag the country down from deficits
NAFTA, chapter 11. The tax rate is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Connect the dots.

His connect-the-dots book was published by the same people who overlook the trade deficit, national debt and income gap.
All of his dots make a picture of evil when connected.......but it looks like heaven through the 3D glasses which come with the book.

A lot cheaper if it were assembled in the US. Thus the Chinese and Taiwanese people 臺灣人 / Tâi-oân-lâng get the work. The US priced itself out of certain markets. You should own a corporation, that's where the money is

First, let me point out that China is not a capitalist country.
Second, we have never had "free trade" with China. They use child labor and slave labor. Flood our
markets with cheap , unsafe , at times deadly products, (toothpaste, mouthwash , dog food, drywall, etc).
They manipulate their currency to undercut our US dollar.
This is not free trade or fair trade , this is BS. Our politicians meet with them, make trade agreement,
come home and pat themselves on the back. The Chinese go home and laugh their azzes off at us.

We ARE the market.
Corporations owning the government decided on pricing ourselves out of our own market.
Corporations have no borders.
We do.
If we get a President Trump who decides to impose tariffs.....they will pay to get into our market. They will follow our rules. And they will.learn that we live here and make our own rules. We have a nation. And an entity which does not should not make economic rules. They wanted no borders and God willing, they will live with that decision.

remember slave: "The Poor Shall Be With You Always" | United Church of God. Double that if Bernie wins. Jobs will be lost and gained with trade. There are trade rules in place. The WTO decides if rules are broken. If China devalues the yuan they lose investors. It's the WTO's job to decide if China has manipulated the currency. China is a Communist government with a capitalist economy. You are better off with trade than without it. Only the strong survive in a capitalist economy. Down with the weak. Let freedom ring. China will trump Trumpo
