For me, no. He was a good New Mexico Governor back in the 90's but in all fairness, my political views have changed 360 degrees and so has the economy in this country. But he is worth mentioning here in the political forum because he is going to make a run for it again. (I love the way the Huffington Post seems to all but have given up on Bernie from the very beginning).

Between the racist reality TV star leading the GOP and an unsettled Democratic Party, “none of the above” could win a respectable number of votes right now when it comes to the 2016 election.

How about a libertarian whom people haven’t heard of?

Gary Johnson wants to find out. At this past weekend’s contentious Libertarian Party convention, he won the nomination along with his running mate, former Massachusetts Gov. William Weld. A recent poll showed Johnson attracting 10 percent of the general election vote — a highly respectable number for a relatively obscure former governor of New Mexico. With continued success, he could get a coveted spot at the presidential debates. The mainstream press is paying attention.

But even considering Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton’s high unfavorable ratings, it’s difficult to imagine Johnson playing a consequential role on Election Day. Libertarians may see an exemplary record of slashing budgets, preaching foreign policy restraint and advocating for personal freedoms from gambling to drug use. But Johnson is also kind of an oddball (at least compared to other politicians) who is most at ease talking obsessively about his personal fitness.

He was a republican when he ran our state but our state was quite prosperous then, I think mostly due to oil.

While I understand peoples many different opinions on politics ... don't you also mean the far right has hijacked the republican party too ?
What I can't understand is why people can't compromise on things.
It's clear to me that all the politicians work for the wealthy, the corporations and those connected to the "party".
But that is not how our country was supposed to work.
It's about all the citizens.
Not just those that feel only their cause, commitment or beliefs are the direction the whole country should follow.

Lot's of things piss me off, but I am not the only person here, or whose only opinion is relevant.
Let's get back to working for all the people, for the good of the country, for the good of us all.

Your right about the Republican party too.. I believe that is why more and more are registered as Independents. As far as Trump goes, I believe that the conservative elite are backing the anti Trump group. They know he cannot be controlled .. That scares them..

Good ol' McConnell was spouting off about how "they" will control "the Donald." Same crap, different president. Nothing is going to change on the hill. If they don't get who they want, they screw us. They get who they want, the same result for the working class.

I don't think they can control Trump and that is what scares him. McConnel is IMO part of the problem in Washington and has said in the past that he doesn't give hoot whether McConnel or the other whacko Ryan ever endorsed him.. Ryan said that because he is waiting for Trump to come around.. Hope he is getting ready for a long time..

Yeah I saw that this morning on TV .. I would think that not backing him could be political suicide if Trump wins the election..
Also I was watching the violence at the Trump rally in San Jose CA.. Shameful to see what these left winged extreme protesters do. Free speech does not include violence and these protesters take protesting to another level.. Also watched this week when a Mexican TV producer at a Trump rally in CA was caught filming a "staged" act of violence so he could say that is what happens at Trumps rallies..
The burning of an American flag is despicable.. These are the ones that should be escorted out of our country..
