Sanders: DNC vetoed union leader pick for platform committee
I didn't post this in my Bernie thread because this one stands on it's own. I have pretty well had it with the democratic party. They are almost as bad as the Republican party. If it wasn't for Bernie......
SPRECKELS, Calif. — When the Democratic National Committee announced that Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont would get to pick five of the 15 people who'll write the party platform, it was seen as a small coup. But at a news conference today, Sanders revealed that the DNC had actually vetoed his nomination of a key labor ally, and said he was told not to pick anyone else from the labor movement.
“What we heard from the DNC was that they did not want representatives of labor unions on the platform-drafting committee,” he said. “That’s correct.”
That was cold comfort to DeMoro. "The most insidious thing, frankly, is that only one of 15 people on this drafting committee is for labor," she said. "It shows you how insidious the DNC has become. Labor built this party. Labor built this country. One person is enough to represent all of that? If you look at the composition of who they chose, besides Bernie’s choices, K Street’s far better represented than the labor movement."

The decision becomes harder with each passing day.
I know who I can't vote for.
This election may very well be a pivotal point in the history of this country.

Amen to that Brother!!The writing is on the wall.People are sick of being 'CONNED',the Lies, the Corruption, the Propaganda, the Illegal Wars of Aggression,a Government which operates in the 'DARK' which effectively banished ''WE THE PEOPLE'' from the Governing process. When the People are 'FED UP' feeling Helpless and Hopeless, then comes the opportunity for 'REAL CHANGE',and not just the Potential for it.I think fundamental understanding is already happening with fundamental 'CHANGE' a Real possibility. It may not get accomplished with this election, but make no mistake about it,the political landscape in this country has been 'CHANGED BY THIS ELECTION'.The 'STAKES' are way to high now for the American People to stay seated.'WE ALL' need to stand up and let our Voices be heard. The Younger Generations cannot afford to be ''SHEEP'',because it's their Future their Fighting for,and the Older Generations are starting to 'REALIZE' that every thing they Worked for and Count on is about to be 'TAKEN' from them.
To put it in Simple terms,Corporate America is trying like Hell to return the USA to what it was like during the'ROBBER BARRON' Era from a Century ago,Low Taxes,No Worker's Rights and a ''HANDFUL' of People 'OWNING and CONTROLLING' Everything.Basically, they want to be the Modern day Carnegie and Rockefeller.
The System we have now is a ''RECREATION'' of the Twisted Mental Makeup in the Minds of Corporate 'SOCIOPATHS' and 'PSYCHOPATHS'.They are running the 'SHOW' now as they have throughout History when Decent People did nothing to stop them, and they are using their Positions of 'MONEY' and 'POWER' to 'SET POLICY' that 'REFLECTS' their Own Amoral,Socially Disconnected,Shark like View of not only the United States, but of the ''WORLD''!!
If ''WE THE PEOPLE'' don't Stop them Soon........Then it's 'GOODBYE COLUMBUS'.

Strappy my friend, there is absolutely no possibility of a debate anymore concerning 'CAPITALISM'.Instead of bringing 'Stability' to the world.Capitalism has brought 'Depression' and 'Chaos'.Instead of bringing Democracy and Prosperity to the world,it has wrecked local Societies where they hung on by a fingernail. No extended criticism is needed because criticism itself,Social,Political, and Economic, has become a criticism 'OF' Capitalism.
It has been this way for a long time.In the 19th century,Capitalism was that which ripped small land owners from their land, chained 'Children' to Machinery, and 'Pushed' entire Populations,on the threat of Extinction, across the surface of the Earth. In the first part of the 20th century,Capitalism was synonymous with War and Fascism,Imperialism,Colonialism,Famine,Genocide,al l 'FACES' of Capitalism. They told us that Capitalism 'CHANGED' it's ways-''THEY LIED''.
If we hang our hat on 'REFORMING' Capitalism, and truly believe that our ''FREEDOMS'' depend on the Continuation of Capitalism,or think that Capitalism is still 'PREFERABLE' to everything else, all it means is that ''OUR TURN HASN'T COME YET''.
Bernie Sanders is making his stand against the 'Corporate Capitalistic Corruption' that is Hillary Clinton and Her Merry Band of 'ELITES'.His campaign has 'RESONATED' so deeply with Americans because his Candidacy, with all his Grandfatherly Charisma and Integrity, repeatedly insists that Americans should look 'BENEATH' the surface of 'Crony Capitalism' that is 'Economically' and 'Ethically' Bankrupt and 'RUNNING' a Political Confidence game, even as it 'CONDESCENDS' to the ''FORGOTTEN MAN''.

Re: Sanders: DNC vetoed union leader pick for platform committee
1955 capitalism. Union numbers 36%. The highest point ....leading to vacations, cars, homes, healthcare, pensions...work rules....good stuff.
Marriages that lasted. Children raised with hope.
A country to be proud of. Poor moving up. No college necessary, or even high school for that matter.
That seems a capitalism worthwhile.
The socialist, Communist ideal just relieves the companies from providing all that good stuff.
And it would seem to leave that burden on the rest of us...who haven't got anymore to provide for everybody else......seems like working till death with no retirement ....sort of like we have now but worse.
No savings to buy a cheap cabin to vacation at or even a boat to fish with.
The Amish got off the worldly progress boat long ago. And they eat good and have big homes, families and land...but work is not left to the few. Most all work.
I'd never want their lifestyle...way to rough.
But we really don't have to choose the market based, high technology, necessity of high education.
We, as a nation, could choose to get off the boat taking us towards the falls, at any point we want.IMO.
I think heading back towards 1955 would make better progress for more of our people.
