Here are two versions on the Benghazi reports released by first the democrats and this morning the republican version..

WASHINGTON — House Democrats on Monday moved to pre-empt the findings of a two-year Republican-led investigation into the attacks in Benghazi, Libya, in which four Americans were killed, by issuing their own 339-page report that cast the inquiry as a politically motivated crusade that wasted time and money.

The release of the Democrats’ report came amid signs that the House Select Committee on Benghazi, led by its chairman, Representative Trey Gowdy, Republican of South Carolina, was nearing the release of its official findings.

In the face of intense criticism, Mr. Gowdy has repeatedly defended the committee’s work as the most comprehensive examination of the attacks in Benghazi, which occurred on Sept. 11, 2012, and resulted in the deaths of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens; a State Department official, Sean Smith; and two Central Intelligence Agency contractors, Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty.

And then you have the republican take on it.

After a more than two-year investigation into the 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, House Republicans released a lengthy report Tuesday recounting the events that led to the deaths of four American diplomats.

The report sheds new light on the breakdown in the U.S. military's response to the attack and offers new details about why U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was at the compound in the Libyan city with only two State Department bodyguards, months after the British and others had evacuated the area.

NBC News obtained the first 175-page section of the full 800-page House Select Committee on Benghazi report. The full report was released later Tuesday morning. The Democratic minority released its own report Monday.

One section of the report seems to allege that U.S. officials fundamentally misunderstood who their allies were at the time. The Republican majority's report found that 35 Americans were saved not by a "quasi-governmental militia" as previous reports concluded, or even a group the U.S. saw as allies. Instead, the report determines that the Americans were saved by the "Libyan Military Intelligence," a group composed of military officers under the Moammar Khaddafy regime, the Libyan dictator who the U.S. helped topple just one year earlier.

Then one wonders why congress doesn't work together.. IMO as many others in this country Obama and Clinton orchestrated the LIES that followed because coming up in just less than two months was the General election for President and if the truth came out of all the blunders of the Obama administration we would not have had a second term of Obama.. Say what you want the decisions made that night were more to protect their jobs than to protect the staff at the embassy in Libya.. Then one wonders how someone like Trump can get the nomination for president.. Hillary Clinton is pure EVIL..

Yep ... they all lie.
However after another report, millions of dollars spent, they still can't say anything different then they said before.
Maybe the blame lay with the military leaders not doing their job.

Despite President Obama and Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta’s clear orders to deploy military assets, nothing was sent to Benghazi.

Then again, maybe that dinner party was more important.

The Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff typically would have participated in the White House meeting, but did not attend because he went home to host a dinner party for foreign dignitaries.

What happened seems to be a command issue with the brass.

None of the relevant military forces met their required deployment timelines.

Either way, people want to blame somebody and the republicans have tried damn hard to influence that blame.
Seems they couldn't.
That would be just another in the long line of right wing stonewall tactics used over the last 6 years.

Fxstc07, maybe it was a breakdown and someone is being protected.. They said the order was given and was changed.. Military soldiers were told to get on their uniforms and then told no uniforms as they didn't want to offend anyone in Libya..What pisses me and many others is the Fact that the Obama administration lied about it most likely because it was an election year.. Politics at its best.. It was Ok for Hillary to email her daughter and say it was a terrorist attack but for two weeks she blamed a you tube video. She even lied to the families of the victims of the attack and then while campaigning she said the families were liars.. I just hope that the American people wake up to her line of bullsh*t.. She was on TV today saying she doesn't understand why people think she is dishonest.. Can't make this stuff up.
Let's hope we never have something like that again..

Here is the sister of Amb. Stevens, Dr. Anne Stevens, who has acted as a spokesperson for the family and her comments on possibly why this disaster took place.

The sister of the U.S. ambassador to Libya killed in Benghazi said she doesn't blame Hillary Clinton for Chris Stevens' death, instead pointing to Congress for under-budgeting the State Department.
"But what was the underlying cause? Perhaps if Congress had provided a budget to increase security for all missions around the world, then some of the requests for more security in Libya would have been granted. Certainly the State Department is underbudgeted.
Stevens also said that "it doesn't look like there's anything new" in the Benghazi reports released by House Republicans and Democrats earlier this week.
Asked if she thought it was fair to make Benghazi an issue in the 2016 presidential election, Stevens said "to use Chris's death as a political point -- is not appropriate."
