I don't know if I would like it or not. I only read half of it before losing interest. It was a way too long and boring article. From what I did read it seemed the author wanted me to feel guilty for being white.

But times were changing, and Republican Spiro Agnew won in the general election, attracting educated progressives and helped by more than 70 percent of the black vote.

Spiro Agnew now there's a blast from the past. Didn't he resign as Nixon's VP over taking bribes as Gov. of Maryland? I guess after that the 70% of blacks who voted for him weren't too happy with the republican party.
