Rome Aloise Under Criminal Investigation
Hoffa’s key West Coast vice president, Rome Aloise, could face a lot more than just expulsion from the Teamsters Union; he has just admitted that he is under criminal investigation. It’s now about more than corruption charges by the Independent Review Board for Aloise.
Meanwhile, Hoffa continues to proudly promote Aloise as a great Teamster leader, despite the overwhelming evidence of racketeering, employer payoffs, sham contracts, and denying members legal rights.
After investigators issued a 122-page report documenting the corruption charges against Aloise, the Hoffa-Hall slate nominated Aloise for a five-year term of office, showing their appalling disregard for the membership of our union.
“There is a straight line that runs from corruption to benefit cuts and concessions,” Fred Zuckerman said in his address to the Teamster Convention. He’s exactly right.

Re: Rome Aloise Under Criminal Investigation
But hey, if you've been a Hofficer and walk a straight line for them, little could happen. Now, if you buck the Hofficers and have a voice of opposition, heaven help you. Time for a change in leadership.

Aloise Corruption Trial Set for October 11
International vice president Rome Aloise will face devastating corruption charges at a hearing on October 11, in San Francisco.
The charges leveled by the Independent Review Board (IRB) include racketeering, requesting valuable gifts from employers during negotiations, accepting employer gifts to pass along to Hoffa’s assistant, trying to leverage jobs for his relatives from UPS and Costco management, negotiating a sham labor contract, and using union resources to punish political opponents and prevent a fair Teamster election.
Aloise is Hoffa’s main man in the west, and the IBT has spared no expense in trying to delay the inevitable until after the Teamster election. No one in the Hoffa administration – not Hoffa, Hall or any of their PR people – has uttered one word about this corruption by a top-ranking official.

Hoffa Corruption Exposed
As Teamster members prepare to vote for International Union officers, the Independent Investigations Officer has launched a major corruption probe into Hoffa for racketeering.
The corruption trail leads to General President Hoffa and his inner circle, including Hoffa’s son, Hoffa-Hall Vice President Rome Aloise and Hoffa’s Chief of Staff Willie Smith.
Anti-corruption officers are now in Federal Court as part of a widening probe into top officials for taking employer gifts and payoffs in exchange for rigging the bidding process for business with Teamster benefit funds.
The money trail begins with Charles Bertucio, an investment firm owner and insurance broker who was paid by health insurance corporations to land business with Teamster benefit funds.

The Shocking Emails Behind the Hoffa Playboy Party Scandal
The corruption trail begins in Minnesota where Teamster members at SWS, the nation’s largest liquor distributor, unanimously rejected a contract in a bid to raise union standards in their industry.
SWS bosses were furious and called in Hoffa-Hall Vice President Rome Aloise to take over the negotiations and push through the deal that management wanted.
In an email dated January 30, SWS negotiator Stuart Korshak said Local 792’s secretary treasurer Larry Yoswa “is weak and follows his members….Rome has led the negotiations for the Minnesota [sic] all day…We will get a good deal done tonight.”
In the exact same email, Korshak reports to higher-ups, “Rome wants to get six tickets for Hoffa’s team to the liquor industry’s party at the Super Bowl this weekend. Can SWS help?”

Re: The Shocking Emails Behind the Hoffa Playboy Party Scandal
He's weak and follows the members that pay him to represent THEM?
Time for new leadership.
Or time for another union.
I bet those guys....and a few others ....would love for Hoffa's convention "thugs" to visit there workplace and show them how they feel about them.
How many times do you hear about work ethics and the company needs to make money and compete and " you're lucky ya have a job".?

Aloise Gets His Trial Postponed to November 30
International Vice President has obtained a postponement of his trial on devastating corruption charges; it is now slated to begin on November 30 in San Francisco. One of his attorneys informed the Independent Review Officer that he had surgery and needed a delay.
Aloise thus stays in office collecting huge salaries a little longer, and Hoffa gets the trial pushed back after the IBT election.
Aloise is Hoffa’s main man in the west, and the IBT has spared no expense in trying to delay the inevitable until after the Teamster election. No one in the Hoffa administration – not Hoffa, Hall or any of their PR people – has uttered one word about this corruption by a top-ranking official.

Rome Aloise Corruption Hearing Continues March 16
Disgraced International Union Vice President Rome Aloise will finally face the music on the corruption charges against him. His hearing began today and will wrap on March 16.
Today extensive charges against IBT Vice President Rome Aloise were read at the start of the hearing in San Francisco.
Aloise is accused of taking illegal employer gifts, negotiating sham contracts, and illegally interfering in a local union election.
The corruption charges were filed against him on February 10, 2016. But Aloise has maneuvered and delayed to avoid a hearing for 13 months.
Today, the presiding judge, Independent Review Officer Barbara S. Jones, stated she expects to conclude the corruption hearing on Thursday, after she questioned attorneys on how long they need. She then adjourned the hearing until Thursday morning.
