Teamsters Denounce Passage of Destructive Anti-Worker Bill in Missouri

(WASHINGTON) – The Teamsters Union strongly denounces an anti-worker bill passed by the Missouri legislature and signed by Gov. Eric Greitens today making Missouri a right-to-work-for-less state.

The destructive right-to-work law is designed to drive down wages and weaken workers’ bargaining rights. States that have already mandated right to work have lower wages, higher unemployment and poverty levels, and fewer protections for workers than free bargaining states.

Teamsters and their allies representing workers throughout Missouri fought for several years against right to work as it was repeatedly introduced in the legislature. Their vocal opposition to the passage of right to work resulted in former Gov. Jay Nixon vetoing the legislation in 2015. The recent Republican legislative majority and governorship ensured its final passage.

One more time.....Time for ALL union leaders of ALL unions to shut it down till all anti-union laws are wiped from all U.S. laws. They best wake up and call it. Time's running out...No matter what the contracts or law says we must unify and strike. Shut it down now whilst we still can....and wipe all this junk away in one shot.

Problem is there are too many union members that think this is just fine!

Don't the Democrats have a National strike set for next Friday ?? You mean you haven't heard about it??? Thought you were up to date with things.. Maybe the Dems just wanted a four day weekend..

Always open to a nap and the best part of being retired is I can take it without looking over my shoulder..

Surely this isn't what Slave was referring to? We're talking a militant shutdown he and I. Nothing on my Local's message board either. Thanks for posting this though. Can we count you in or will your "How to prop Trump up." seminar create a conflict for attendance?
