Re: Happy Holidays from Central States Pension!

Here's my opinion on the whole damn issue... the government ruined it with that 1982 decree so how about fixing it!!! They were in charge of overseeing it alright... right into the ground! And how about you Hoffa? Why aren't you on an all out campaign demanding that the government fix it since they took on the full responsibility for it in 82? Could it be because you were also part of it's decline by letting UPS out of it along with other reckless and irresponsible acts when it came to Central States? But no... not a peep from Junior and only a few politicians begging for aid instead demanding for restitution for something the government themselves impeded and by doing so took on the full responsibility of it's future so how about fixing it! After all... the whole reason for that decree was because the federal mafia wouldn't stand for any other entity to intrude on their speciality... especially if the working man benefeted. The government thinks that dealings like that should be set up to screw the working man... not help. So... just who do they think they fooled because all they did with that decree was to change the beneficiary from the working man to wall street.

So here we are... IMO... we know damn well the republicans don't give a rat's ass about the Teamster's pension and the majority of the democrats don't either because the way I see it... one of the democrats first order of business when and if Biden gets in will be getting that $160 billion in state and local aid to those poorly run states and sanctuary cities that they wanted and didn't get in the stimulus package.

And how and why in the hell does Nyhan still have a job there???

Just another stark reminder of the shit job the government does administering and running things. If they wouldn't have decided the the funds had too much money in them and were going to control them, maybe just maybe things would have turned out differently.I guess we will never know for sure.

We will see what the new Year brings as far as pension relief .. But Central states says they have enough for four more years.. What about all the other pension funds that have already applied cuts.. Local 707, local 641, upstate New York and many other smaller funds including local 560 that are on the verge of cuts early next year.. Nothing but broken promises..
