American Medical Association Pushes To Remove Sex From Birth Certificates

Boy or girl? If it was up to the American Medical Association (AMA), not even parents would know. Once again revealing the organization’s highly politicized motives, the AMA said sex should be removed as a legal designation on birth certificates. “Designating sex on birth certificates as male or female, and making that information available on the public portion, perpetuates a view that sex designation is permanent and fails to recognize the medical spectrum of gender identity. This type of categorization system also risks stifling an individual’s self-expression and self-identification and contributes to marginalization and minoritization,” said AMA Board Chair-Elect Sandra Adamson Fryhofer, M.D.

A person’s biological sex would still be submitted to the U.S. Standard Certificate of Live Birth for medical, public health, and statistical use. Requiring public designation of sex, the AMA said, could lead to discrimination against transgenders when they register for school or sports, adopt, get married, or request personal records.

Robert Jackson, MD, who’s with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, told WebMD Health News he opposed the measure. “We as physicians need to report things accurately,” Jackson said. “All through medical school, residency, and specialty training we were supposed to delegate all of the physical findings of the patient we’re taking care of. I think when the child is born, they do have physical characteristics either male or female and I think that probably should be on the public record. That’s just my personal opinion.” The obvious should be stated: Biological sex accounts for medical differences. The AMA has faced plenty of backlash for wanting to eliminate this important biological distinguishment. In some cases, it could mean the difference between life or death. In 2019, a biological female who identified as a male birthed a stillborn baby because ER nurses didn’t think to check if she was pregnant.

By neglecting to specify sex on the hard copy of a birth certificate, medical professionals could improperly treat someone. But instead of recognizing medical truths, the AMA is rallying behind people who flat out deny biology. The AMA supports health care for transgender children, noting that “it is imperative that transgender minors be given the opportunity to explore their gender identity under the safe and supportive care of a physician.” For an organization that blindly supports genital mutation on minors, it’s no surprise that they want to eliminate sex on a birth certificate.

    Just to clarify...

Sex should be removed as a legal designation on the public part of birth certificates, the American Medical Association (AMA) said Monday. Requiring it can lead to discrimination and unnecessary burden on individuals whose current gender identity does not align with their designation at birth, namely when they register for school or sports, adopt, get married, or request personal records. A person's sex designation at birth would still be submitted to the U.S. Standard Certificate of Live Birth for medical, public health, and statistical use only, report authors note.

That says it all right there as far as our government is concerned... there's nothing wrong with lying to the public but the truth belongs in the hands of the government... not the general public which the MSM reminds us of every single day of the week.

      Re: Our Dying Republic

What the heck is going on in this country?

As the Biden administration continues to peel away the accomplishments of his predecessor, what I hear most from family, friends, and social media posters is a fear that Democrats have become power-mad with their recent ascendancy to a majority position in the House and Senate. They wonder if the current crop of radical officials is hell-bent on weakening, and ultimately destroying, the country that gave them those positions. Beginning with reversing President Trump's southern border policies, which has led to an invasion of illegal aliens unprecedented in our history, to the shutdown of the Keystone pipeline, taking away our energy independence, and several other policy changes that adversely affect our safety and our economy, one has to suspect the motives of those in charge.

The wisdom of Occam's Razor seems to apply in this context. Watching our country being led by folks who appear to be more concerned with getting revenge on Trump than with solving the problems facing this great republic meets the requirement of O.R. — that the simplest explanation is usually the best one. How can Americans come to any other conclusion when almost daily we hear another swipe at the former chief executive by one of Biden's Cabinet members, or someone on his staff, each time an additional Trump achievement is overturned? Moreover, as we watch in horror as potentially millions of migrants from all over the world walk casually into our country, Democrats will look us in the face and say things are getting better.

It reminds me of the comment by Seattle mayor Jenny Durkan as sections of her city were being looted and burned. When asked by a CNN anchor how long she thinks the mayhem will continue, the left-wing troglodyte smirked and said, "I don't know. We could have a summer of love." This is an example of the perverted mentality that has no concern for the innocent residents of a city under siege by criminals who have no fear of local authorities. While people are being beaten and killed on city streets, the people elected to protect them were calling for the defunding of police and the hiring of social workers to enforce the law.

Every time we think the delusional left can't get any crazier, these people come up with more abysmal notions that defy common sense and imperil more lives. How about telling us how imperative it is for us to get vaccinated, wear masks, and engage in social distancing while they invite hundreds of thousands of untested migrants into our country and transport them to cities from coast to coast? Does it take a conspiracy theorist to suggest that Democrats are distributing the virus throughout our country in order to keep us infected and locked down? How else can the Biden administration explain why they are suing Texas to block Governor Abbott's executive order that allows state troopers to stop vehicles suspected of carrying illegal aliens because they may be spreading COVID-19?

Keep in mind that Texas is among the reddest states in the union, and Abbott is one of the most severe critics of Biden's handling of the southern invasion. Biden wasted no time in stopping the construction of the border wall, another attempt to destroy a Trump campaign pledge. It's become evident that Democrats have hatched a plot to create a constitutional crisis between the federal and state governments, but only against those states that didn't vote for Biden. Has vengeance become the driving force behind every tactic employed by Democrats? Has political rivalry reached a stage in which the winning parties are hell-bent on destroying their opponents?

In the middle of all this political hostility, the American people are captively watching a vindictive ping-pong match among the power elite who seem to have relegated us to insignificant victims of collateral damage. Congressman Chip Roy (R-Texas, 21st District) said it best on the floor of the House a few days ago: "The speaker says we must wear masks in the people's house, while we've got thousands of people pouring across our border, many of them heavily infected with COVID, and Democrats don't do a damn thing about it! Mexican cartels are raping, pillaging, and transporting infected migrants into our country, and what does this institution do? Tell us to wear masks in this chamber."

The congressman is expressing more than outrage. He, like millions of other Americans, is wondering out loud what the heck is going on in this country. It's clear that we're not being governed according to constitutional principles; we're being ruled by a despotic gang of venal socialist thugs who plan to hold onto their power in perpetuity, even if it means using the increasingly left-wing-indoctrinated military to accomplish their nefarious goals.

        Re: Our Dying Republic

        Cultural catastrophism

Geologists define catastrophism as the theory that sudden, violent, and unpredictable events have dramatically changed the world throughout prehistory. The dinosaurs were the victims of one such event, the Yucatán meteor impact.Cultures are also known to change suddenly due to such catastrophes as invasions and volcanoes. Revolutions are sudden, social catastrophes, but until the twentieth century, even they had not radically transformed the entire cultural basis of societies. Even the communist revolutions in Russia and China, although their effects were drastic, left intact many of the cultural norms that sustained those societies, despite the efforts of the revolutionaries to eradicate them.

Not until the 1960s did we, in the West, get a foretaste of a truly catastrophic change inside the deepest roots of our own culture. Although it seemed gradual at the time, a new movement, which we now call "Woke Leftism," began to comprehensively attack and alter each and every one of our institutions and norms.Marriage and family, parenthood, education, medical ethics, government and finance, military and religion — all of these and more, began to crumble under the broad-front, relentless subversion of the left. There seemed to be no stopping it.

Throughout all that time, hope sprang eternal. There were always glimmers of optimism, as here and there, conservative values won a small victory. Those glimmers, however, turned out to be all too brief. The leftists would focus on those and crush them. Despite the onslaught, many of us regarded the cultural revolution as only temporary, an aberration of history, which would eventually give way to a return to moral values and common sense. We were wrong, dreadfully wrong. Were someone in the 1960s to have predicted the present condition of our society, he would have been dismissed as delusional. Same-sex "marriage," "sex change" surgeries, abortion for young girls (with neither the permission nor knowledge of the parents), local governments cheerleading for rioters and looters, in-your-face electoral fraud going unpunished, millions of illegal aliens escorted into our cities by law-enforcers — and worse. Reality itself is becoming an Orwellian delusion.

We were not hit by a sudden meteor strike, but despite the slow tidal wave of cultural destruction, we must now acknowledge that a catastrophe has occurred. The culture is facing final ruin, of a sort that even the fall of the Roman Empire, with all its debaucheries, cannot match. Am I overstating the crisis? For those born after the mid-1990s, the devastation is largely invisible. They are like the first generation of forest creatures, born into the aftermath of a fire. They have nothing in their life experience against which to compare. They regard the ashes and dead trees as normal. Young people today, watching old movies and television reruns, cannot imagine a world in which Leave It to Beaver is not a parody, the myth of a time in which functional families struggled not with drugs and teenage pregnancy, but instead with the everyday moral conflicts that were part of the coming of age.

Chicago gang wars in the 1920s made major headlines, but today, gangster massacres by young people are a common occurrence in the same city, where the focus is on paper masks. Schoolchildren are being taught to hate their country, by people who have no regard for those children. Victims of crimes are all too often blamed, while the criminals themselves are glorified. The world is supposedly going to end in a few years because of capitalism, the only economic system that can actually save the planet. No, we are no longer in a gradual decline; we are on the cusp of a sudden catastrophe, which, unless we act swiftly and in concert, will snap like a brittle twig bent too far, or, using another analogy, like the explosive charge once the lit fuse sets it off.

There are glimmers of hope, but we must not rely on them. They are nothing more than toe-holds on the face of a cliff, the impetus for energetic action. If our destruction is inevitable, as some say it is, then at least may the end find us fighting furiously on the right side. That will mean something, something eternal and worth the effort, as in the words well done, faithful servant of God.

            Re: Our Dying Republic

            It's all your fault

“Exactly like your father: A big stupid muscle-headed moron” -- Mrs. Marcus (Ethel Merman) in It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World. With that inspiring start, let’s look via questions at the ways the American public as a whole is a stupid muscled headed moron along with further interludes by Mrs. Marcus:

Why are we still dependent on other countries for basics needs such as pharmaceuticals, computer chips, and steel?
Why are we required to wear masks when it is widely known they are ineffective against COVID?
Why is it that our military leadership has no idea the amount of military armaments left behind in Afghanistan? Knowing that we have rearmed our enemy, who will take blame for the next terrorist event -- wherever it may occur?
Why is it that Neptune’s moon Triton is experiencing global warming (MIT 1998) and we think it’s our exhaust pipe that is warming the earth?
Why did we vote to give away our energy independence in 2020?
Why do we need $1.2 trillion in infrastructure spending when President Trump proposed federal spending of $200 billion?

What kind of an attitude is that? "These things happen." The only reason why these things happen is because this whole country is filled with people, that when these things happen, they just say "these things happen," and that's why they happen.

What will happen to the price of infrastructure basics such as concrete, asphalt, and steel if and when the infrastructure plan gets passed? What will that do to the price of housing?
Why haven’t cities eradicated gang violence? Why do urban residents keep voting Democratic when nothing gets done?
Why did the Governor of Oregon vote to suspend graduation testing? Who does that benefit? Why aren’t Oregonians troubled by this?
If the Keynesian multiplier effect (government spending a dollar increases the economy by a multiple) actually worked, why do we have $28 trillion (and rising) national debt?
How do you feel about this statement from the Navy in the July12, 2021WSJ -- “I guarantee you every unit in the Navy is up to speed on their diversity training”?
Do you really think pregnant women should be flying fighter jets?
Whose idea was it to have high school sophomore’s read Two Boys Kissing (New Trier High School, Winnetka, Illinois)?
Do we really think it’s a good idea to let boys who identify as girls be in the girl’s locker room?
What about boys/young men who identify as girls/young women competing against girls in women’s sports?
Why was the toughest question posed to Joe Biden during the 2020 election, ”What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?” Knowing this, how did Joe Biden receive 63.5% of the vote in California?
Why haven’t we held our media accountable for all of these failures?

Hard leftists aren’t going to go away. We need to engage persuadable Democrats to change the direction of our country. Doing nothing will only continue to slow decline of a once great country known as the United States of America. Throw them some of these questions along with some of your own and let’s move the needle.

“…and you know what those half-witted morons up in Sacramento do about it? They just sit there.”

              Re: Our Dying Republic

New Jersey Bans Detainment of Illegal Aliens

To their credit, Democrats are willing to assert their twisted version of state sovereignty when convenient for them, whereas Republicans remain afraid to stand against clear violations of the Constitution by Washington. In New Jersey, the Left is celebrating the signing of a new state law that bans prisons and jails from entering into contracts with ICE to detain illegal aliens. The bill, given the ink by Democrat Governor Phil Murphy on Friday, was pushed by pro-illegal immigration groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union. “This hard-fought victory reflects the resilience and tenacity of our communities — and reaffirms that our vision of a world without detention is within reach,” said Tania Mattos of the group Freedom for Immigrants. “For far too long, New Jersey has enabled and profited from ICE’s cruel immigration detention system that tears apart families and communities,” the American Civil Liberties Union said in a statement. “With the signing of this bill, New Jersey is taking a first step towards ending its complicity in the mass detention of noncitizens.”

The law was introduced in the State Senate in January by Senator Loretta Weinberg and in the Assembly by Assemblyman Gordon Johnson, both Democrats. The legislation was a response to reports that jails in Northern New Jersey had contracted with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Language in the law declares that:

It is the responsibility of the State to protect the health and safety, including the physical and mental health, of individuals detained within New Jersey. Detention centers and correctional facilities in New Jersey have a history of poor conditions, including inadequate medical and mental health care, use of isolated confinement, and incidents of violence and retaliation against people in detention.
As with the case of cities and states that have declared themselves “sanctuary” jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with ICE, this latest law out of New Jersey is a clear violation of the Constitution. While states’ rights is a fundamental principle of our federal system, one of the few legitimate powers (as established in Article IV, Section 4) that the Constitution clearly places in the hands of the federal government is the responsibility to “protect [each of the states] against invasion,” which is what illegal migration is. This is not to say that states cannot and should not protect themselves against invasion, as Democrats often argue when red states attempt to secure their border with Mexico independently (and in the absence of) federal action. But the wording of the Constitution does mean that states may not interfere or refuse to cooperate with the federal government (of which ICE is a part) when it is performing its legitimate role of repelling invasion. New Jersey Democrats, however, do not fear any consequences from their open violation of federal law and the Constitution. Why should they? There have not yet been any consequences for sanctuary politicians even though the U.S. code already establishes strict penalties, including prison time, for those who aid and abet illegal immigration. In 8 U.S. Code § 1324, we read that “any person who” does the following ….

              (iii) knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that an alien has come to, entered, or remains in the United States in violation of law, conceals, harbors, or shields from detection, or attempts to conceal, harbor, or shield from detection, such alien in any place, including any building or any means of transportation;

(iv) encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law….
… shall be subject to prison sentences of five, 10, or 20 years (depending on whether their actions resulted in harm or death for American citizens) for each alien for whom they broke the law. Additionally, such lawbreakers can be “punished by death” if their shielding of illegal aliens results “in the death of any person.” Sadly, Republicans have never sought to bring Democrats to justice for being in direct violation of the laws on the books. Nor do they have the courage to take a page out of Democrats’ book to stand up to actual federal overreach, such as the current witch hunt by the feds against peaceful January 6 prisoners.

                Re: Our Dying Republic

You Don’t Need To Go To Kabul To See The End Of American Order. It’s Right Here Among Us

In many of our major cities, gangs of masked thugs and criminals do what they please -- and our far-better-armed police aren't allowed to stop it.

The nation’s attention these past two weeks has focused nearly exclusively on Kabul, and rightly so given that the city has become the scene of the largest hostage situation in American history and a vivid image of the decline of Pax Americana abroad.Yet Americans don’t need to travel 7,500 miles to get a first-hand glimpse of the end of American order. In many of our own country’s major cities, gangs of masked thugs and criminals do what they please — and our far-better-armed police aren’t allowed to stop it. Take one August Sunday in Portland, Oregon, where two days ago masked gangs roamed freely beating people, including women and reporters, and even opened fire downtown. Meanwhile, the police, who have been threatened with government action if they intervene, are nowhere to be seen. The results of this intentional breakdown in order are as immediate as they are sickening: Pitched battles between masked and helmeted left- and right-wing mobs raged across city blocks this weekend, with paintballs, pepper spray, fireworks, and beatings in broad daylight — and with limited-to-no police presence.

The press aren’t safe either, with one Antifa member trying to frighten independent journalist and photographer Maranie Staab from covering the violence. “You f-cking endangered people by flying to f-cking Colombia and endangering everyone by opening them up to COVID, you little slut,” he screamed at the Staab, referring to her June reporting on violence in South America. Minutes later, Antifa members pepper-sprayed her, knocked her to the ground, and reportedly broke her phone and damaged her camera, yelling, “How many times do we have to f-cking tell you?” After other reporters moved her away from the mob and were helping her wash out her eyes and mouth, an Antifa member sprayed them and their cameras with more paint. Police were nowhere to be seen. That same day, during riots and demonstrations downtown, a man opened fire on Antifa members, who reportedly fired back. Police were nowhere to be seen, although they arrested one suspect minutes later.

So where are the police, exactly? Law and order have slowly, and then rapidly, broken down in Portland for years, with images of besieged courthouses, lawless “autonomous zones,” open drugs and violent crime, and roving, organized mobs hitting honest newspapers across the United States nearly every week. Indeed, Sunday’s festivities were organized to celebrate a violent clash that had taken place the year before.Amid it all, local and national politicians have repeatedly attacked and undermined the men and women who maintain order at great personal risk, cutting the police budget by millions and threatening further cuts along the way. Then on July 19, the governor signed a new law that opened police officers using non-lethal, anti-mob force to personal prosecution. This, independent journalist Andy Ngo reports, was “the final nail for an effective permanent police stand down.”

Therein lies an interesting connection to the most recent disaster we’ve been watching abroad: In Portland, city leaders demand say their refusal to back their own police or enforce their own laws “is a national problem that demands national resources,” adding that “the idea that Portland, or any city, can single handedly defeat white nationalism is a fallacy.” Across the country in Washington, White House leaders pretend 10-15,000 stranded Americans, a captured military base, hijacked American equipment in enemy hands, and outnumbered soldiers and Marines in a civilian airport surrounded by the Taliban is just what all withdrawals look like. All of this is completely false, of course — both these crises, in their immediate senses, have been created by the foolish decisions of the people directly in charge of them. We don’t need a time traveler from 2010 to teach us how to maintain peace in our cities, just as we don’t need Alexander the Great to teach us to remove civilians and equipment before the military departs and to hold bases until they aren’t needed anymore.

Our country here and abroad is held captive by radical and lying politicians unwilling to tell the truth or face it. Drive into your closest major city anywhere in the country and there’s a good chance it’s gotten a lot worse than it was just a few years ago. Look at any foreign paper and see that our word is worth a lot less than it was just a few weeks ago. Neither of these is, or were, inevitable: They are the conscious decisions of a country in decline. We don’t have much time to put things right, but we know what we have to do to fix these things; the answers aren’t arcane. It already might be too late, but it’s worth the fight.

'Cash For Criminals': San Francisco Will Start Paying People Not To Shoot Each Other

San Francisco may be best known for its poo and needle-covered streets (requiring six-figure 'poop patrollers'), but the liberal stronghold - driven into the ground under decades of Democrat leadership - is about to experiment with yet another 'fix' for its self-inflicted wounds... Using taxpayer money to pay criminals not to shoot people. In October, San Francisco will begin offering high-risk individuals $300 per month not to shoot anyone, or get shot themselves, according to the San Francisco Examiner. What's more, participants can earn up to $200 more per month by hitting program milestones - such as landing a job interview, complying with probation, or consistently meeting with a mentor, according to the report.

Known as the "Dream Keeper Fellowship" (a.k.a. Cash for Criminals), "The initiative will pair participants with newly hired life coaches from the Street Violence Intervention Program, known as SVIP, who will help the them make the right choices and access services." "We know that $500 in San Francisco is not a significant amount of money," said Sheryl Davis, a proponent of the program and executive director of the Human Rights Commission. "But if it’s enough to get you in to talk to folks, and be able to make a plan for your life, then that’s huge."

This isn’t the first time a city has tried to reduce gun violence by offering cash. A similar anti-violence program in Oakland, for instance, offers young adults up to $300 for achieving milestones. What’s new is San Francisco would start people off with a baseline of $300 a month without having to meet any marks. The program is modeled, in part, after the nationally watched Operation Peacemaker Fellowship in Richmond, which offers similar stipends of up to $1,000. A 2019 study published in the American Journal of Public Health linked the program to a 55% decrease in gun homicides and 43% decline in shootings since it began in 2010.It’s also not San Francisco’s first guaranteed-income program. The City recently rolled out similar efforts for pregnant mothers from marginalized communities and artists struggling during the pandemic. -SF Examiner
The program will start off with just 10 participants in October, and then expand benefits to another 30 high-risk individuals by the end of the year. Officials have already hired two life coaches for the program. "What we are actually doing is trying to address the root causes of some of what’s happened," said Davis. "Six thousand dollars per person, when you look at it annually, is nothing if it helps deter criminal activity compared to the amount of money it costs to incarcerate someone, let alone the impact of the activity itself."

The program, funded in part by the Dream Keeper Initiative established by Mayor London Breed and Supervisor Shamann Walton to divert funding from the police, is being rolled out by the Human Rights Commission and Office of Economic and Workforce Development. "My desire is to get to them, not to just make an arrest, but to get to them and to try and figure out if they would be willing to work with us on something that is an alternative," said Breed at a Violence Prevention Summit earlier this month. "We can’t just put them in a program without making sure that they have money, without making sure that they have something to take care of themselves."

The effort comes as shootings are soaring in San Francisco, after years of declines. It’s a pattern being seen around the nation during the pandemic, even in cities like Oakland that already have cash incentive programs.About twice as many people have been shot in San Francisco as of late July compared to either of the prior two years. During the same time period, police data show there were 21 gun homicides in 2021 compared to 15 in 2020 and 14 in 2019. The number of non-fatal shooting victims also rose to 108 from 51 and 50 in the previous two years. Those numbers don’t even include a series of four fatal shootings that erupted within the span of five days earlier this month. (San Francisco has seen 34 homicides so far in 2021, as of August 26, compared to 32 at the same point last year. That number includes killings unrelated to gun violence.) -SF Examiner
"Providing individuals with resources to survive and increase their options for success is integral in changing the trends of increased violence," said Walton, adding "This is the perfect time for this strategy."

This breakdown - triggered by polarizing circus politics, media-fed mass hysteria, racism, classism, fascism, fear-mongering, political correctness, cultural sanitation, virtue signaling, a sense of hopelessness and powerlessness in the face of growing government corruption and brutality, a growing economic divide that has much of the population struggling to get by, and militarization and militainment (the selling of war and violence as entertainment) - is manifesting itself in madness, mayhem and an utter disregard for the very principles and liberties that have kept us out of the clutches of totalitarianism for so long.

There is an allegory here for what is happening to our country and its citizens, who have also been waylaid by a madman (the Deep State), stripped of their safety nets (their rights undermined and eroded), and savaged out in the open by a fiend (the American Police State and its many operatives—the courts, the legislatures and their various armies) that is devoid of humanity while those not in the immediate crosshairs watch safely from a distance without making a move to help.

This is madness, yet there is a method to this madness. This is how freedom falls and tyranny rises.Remember, authoritarian regimes begin with incremental steps: overcriminalization, surveillance of innocent citizens, imprisonment for nonviolent—victimless—crimes, etc. Bit by bit, the citizenry finds its freedoms being curtailed and undermined for the sake of national security. And slowly the populace begins to submit. No one speaks up for those being targeted. No one resists these minor acts of oppression. No one recognizes the indoctrination into tyranny for what it is.

Historically this failure to speak truth to power has resulted in whole populations being conditioned to tolerate unspoken cruelty toward their fellow human beings, a bystander syndrome in which people remain silent and disengaged—mere onlookers—in the face of abject horrors and injustice.Time has insulated us from the violence perpetrated by past regimes in their pursuit of power: the crucifixion and slaughter of innocents by the Romans, the torture of the Inquisition, the atrocities of the Nazis, the butchery of the Fascists, the bloodshed by the Communists, and the cold-blooded war machines run by the military industrial complex. We can disassociate from such violence. We can convince ourselves that we are somehow different from the victims of government abuse. We can continue to spout empty political rhetoric about how great America is, despite the evidence to the contrary. We can avoid responsibility for holding the government accountable. We can zip our lips and bind our hands and shut our eyes.

In other words, we can continue to exist in a state of denial. Yet there is no denying the ugly, hard truths that become more evident with every passing day.

                    1. The government is not our friend. Nor does it work for “we the people.”

2.Our so-called government representatives do not actually represent us, the citizenry. We are now ruled by an oligarchic elite of governmental and corporate interests whose main interest is in perpetuating power and control.

                    3. Republicans and Democrats like to act as if there’s a huge difference between them and their policies. However, they are not sworn enemies so much as they are partners in crime, united in a common goal, which is to maintain the status quo.

                    4. The lesser of two evils is still evil.

                    5. Some years ago, a newspaper headline asked the question: “What’s the difference between a politician and a psychopath?” The answer, then and now, remains the same: None. There is virtually no difference between psychopaths and politicians.

                    6. More than terrorism, more than domestic extremism, more than gun violence and organized crime, the U.S. government has become a greater menace to the life, liberty and property of its citizens than any of the so-called dangers from which the government claims to protect us

                    7. The government knows exactly which buttons to push in order to manipulate the populace and gain the public’s cooperation and compliance.

                    8. If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it.

                    9. America’s shadow government—which is comprised of unelected government bureaucrats, corporations, contractors, paper-pushers, and button-pushers who are actually calling the shots behind the scenes right now and operates beyond the reach of the Constitution with no real accountability to the citizenry—is the real reason why “we the people” have no control over our government.

                    10. You no longer have to be poor, black or guilty to be treated like a criminal in America. All that is required is that you belong to the suspect class—that is, the citizenry—of the American police state. As a de facto member of this so-called criminal class, every U.S. citizen is now guilty until proven innocent.

                    11. “We the people” are no longer shielded by the rule of law. By gradually whittling away at our freedoms—free speech, assembly, due process, privacy, etc.—the government has, in effect, liberated itself from its contractual agreement to respect our constitutional rights while resetting the calendar back to a time when we had no Bill of Rights to protect us from the long arm of the government.

                    12. Private property means nothing if the government can take your home, car or money under the flimsiest of pretexts, whether it be asset forfeiture schemes, eminent domain or overdue property taxes. Likewise, private property means little at a time when SWAT teams and other government agents can invade your home, break down your doors, kill your dog, wound or kill you, damage your furnishings and terrorize your family.

                    13. We now find ourselves caught in the crosshairs of a showdown between the rights of the individual and the so-called “emergency” state, and “we the people” are losing.

                    14. All of those freedoms we cherish—the ones enshrined in the Constitution, the ones that affirm our right to free speech and assembly, due process, privacy, bodily integrity, the right to not have police seize our property without a warrant, or search and detain us without probable cause—amount to nothing when the government and its agents are allowed to disregard those prohibitions on government overreach at will.

                    15. If there is an absolute maxim by which the federal government seems to operate, it is that the American taxpayer always gets ripped off.

                    16. Our freedoms—especially the Fourth Amendment—continue to be choked out by a prevailing view among government bureaucrats that they have the right to search, seize, strip, scan, spy on, probe, pat down, taser, and arrest any individual at any time and for the slightest provocation.

                    17. Forced vaccinations, forced cavity searches, forced colonoscopies, forced blood draws, forced breath-alcohol tests, forced DNA extractions, forced eye scans, forced inclusion in biometric databases: these are just a few ways in which Americans continue to be reminded that we have no control over what happens to our bodies during an encounter with government officials.

                    18. Finally, freedom is never free. There is always a price—always a sacrifice—that must be made in order to safeguard one’s freedoms.

We cannot remain silent in the face of the government’s ongoing overreaches, power grabs, and crimes against humanity. Evil disguised as bureaucracy is still evil.

                      And here's a perfect example...

Decoding the Heinous Train Rape in Philadelphia

It was around 9.15 pm on October 13, 2021, in northeast Philadelphia. Around 11 passengers were on board a SEPTA train, most probably on their way home. Among the passengers was a woman who had accidentally boarded the wrong train.According to charging documents obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer, a homeless man by the name of Fiston Ngoy entered the train a minute later and attempted to strike up a conversation with the woman. He subsequently moved to the seat next to her.

Ngoy then spent nearly 45 minutes that included 27 stops harassing the woman, groping her, and touching her breast, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer. The woman struggled to restrain Ngoy. He eventually ripped her clothes off and raped her. Thankfully, an off-duty SEPTA employee who boarded the train later witnessed the violence in progress and called 911. According to the Daily Mail, Ngoy entered the US from the Congo on a student visa in 2012 but remained after his visa was terminated in 2015 and was protected from deportation by the immigration system despite multiple convictions as recent as this May.

Court records show that Ngoy had multiple arrests dating back to 2015 and two misdemeanor convictions, one for controlled substances and one for sexual abuse. He pleaded guilty to the sex charge in 2017 and was sentenced to 120 days in jail, and was then placed in immigration detention in January 2018.However, Ngoy was never deported, because an immigration judge granted him a 'withholding of removal' in March 2019, after an appeals board found that his sex crime was not a “serious crime” that made him eligible for removal. Since then, Ngoy has been free and required only to check in periodically with Immigration and Customs Enforcement under an order of supervision. He was arrested twice more in the past year, for disorderly conduct

An innocent woman was accordingly subjected to unspeakable violence, because of a failed immigration system and the irresponsibility of an immigration judge. To say this is outrageous is an understatement. This once again proves the urgent need to ensure fix the broken immigration system and to deport criminal illegal aliens immediately. However, that wasn’t the only outrage on display that fateful day. What astounded many including law enforcement officials is that the passengers around allowed the assault to occur.Nobody expected passengers to physically confront and restrain the rapist. That would have been brave, but also very risky; if the man had been armed, he could have started indiscriminately shooting out of desperation, causing the loss of many lives. There are a few probable reasons why people didn’t intervene the moment Ngoy began touching the women despite the protest.

The perpetrator, as we know, is a Black man.Consider a scenario where some men on board the train had intervened and restrained the perpetrator the moment he started behaving inappropriately. Let’s also imagine the scenarios where one among them was Caucasian. How would the mainstream media have reacted? What are the odds that the men would have been called racist with MSNBC’s Joy Reid leading the charge? What are the odds that the actions of the perpetrator would have been downplayed and the protectors were called a modern-day lynch mob? What are the odds that they and their families would have been hounded till the end of time rendering them unemployable? What are the odds that activist lawyers and politicians, looking to score easy points, would have dragged them through the legal system, twisted their statements, tarnished their image forever, and destroyed all they had with mounting legal bills for defense? What are the odds that they would have been lauded and applauded for being heroes?

We all know the answers to the above questions. To protect our fellow human beings should always be our first instinct. However, in the current climate, people do think twice, because the risks can be life-destroying.In fact, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that quickly calling 911 could have been regarded as a racist act.The narrative probably would have been that a person of color was merely attempting to talk to a woman, but a racist called 911, and the racist police restrained him. They once again would probably have been subjected to coordinated harassment and cancellation would probably follow.Preventing a crime is the best way to fight crime. But since the incident had never occurred, it could be spun the narrative to actually make the preventer look like the perpetrator.

Another possible reason for people's reticence to call 911 is that nobody wants to get mixed up with the police unless it is absolutely necessary. However, we still haven’t reached the bottom of the barrel. The passengers in the train reportedly recorded videos of the unspeakable act of barbarity with their cellphones. Were they filming so they can present it as evidence for the police? A slim possibility of that being the case, but nevertheless a possibility.Considering the heinousness of the crime it is unlikely that any media outlet or agency would pay for these videos, as they usually do for rare video footage.

The other most probable reason is what psychiatrists call bystander apathy. This is related to the bystander effect, a phenomenon in which people witness someone else in peril, but do nothing to intervene or offer assistance. One of the primary reasons for apathy is the lack of human contact.Apathy was already a serious problem, and Covid19 lockdowns have made matters worse. When there is no face-to-face contact for prolonged periods of time, human compassion and understanding begin to erode. In current times, face-to-face meetings have been replaced by social media where people receive gratification via likes, emoticons, or terse comments. Where users frequently join online lynch mobs and follow trends without thought, and where each tries to be more outrageous to gain attention. Perhaps the people filming the videos thought they could share it in some form on social media or on private chat groups -- i.e., it was something sensational that would keep them occupied for a few days.

We thus have three serious issues. The first is the lack of enforcement of immigration laws; the fault here lies solely with the government. The second is the fear of the public to prevent a crime because they do not want to be subjected to scrutiny and be called racist. The fault here lies with the proclivity of those in the position of power to view every occurrence from the prism of race or identity. The third is general apathy such that they film the crime instead of stopping it; the fault lies with social media addiction.Tragically a young woman may have suffered certainly because of the first and probably because of the second and third.Sometimes you need to hit rock bottom before you rise and take remedial action. If there is any positive to be derived from this appalling incident? Let's hope it serves as a wake-up call.

You are so right Wizard… and so many good men and women are doing exactly that nothing… no public outcry displaying strong disapproval… not even something as modest as willing to back up those who do. It’s like they don’t realize that silence implies consent or they don’t really care because they think it’s just politics as usual… maybe a combination of both. What they don’t realize… which I‘ll use another quote is… “There comes a time when silence is betrayal.” ― Martin Luther King Jr.

To answer your question as of why so many Americans are so compliant and losing touch with reality… I… like you believe that it was years of social programming… avoiding anxiety by burying their head in the sand in the hopes that by ignoring the problem will make it disappear along with one other reason… that many of us are actually… deep down… maybe even subconsciously … plain scared of our government… also due to those years of social programming. IMO… we no longer have the left vs right… only the illusion of it as a means of divide and conquer… and a very effective one at that.

IMO… most of our politicians and government institutions are corrupt to the core these days and are no longer really even trying to hide that fact anymore. Here’s a NSA job interview clip from “Good Will Hunting” that I find that a good many Americans will like and agree with… at least I would hope so…

Here’s what happens when one of those social programmed college indoctrinated useful idiots gets confronted and have to rely on their thoughts when questioned about how they formed their “programmed ideology”…

And here’s where we are at when it comes to something as simple as our “right to food’ these days in this great nation of ours…

Is there a constitutional right to food? Mainers to decide

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Depending on whom you ask, Maine’s proposed “right to food” constitutional amendment would simply put people in charge of how and what they eat — or would endanger animals and food supplies, and turn urban neighborhoods into cattle pastures.

For supporters, the language is short and to the point, ensuring the right to grow vegetables and raise livestock in an era when corporatization threatens local ownership of the food supply, a constitutional experiment that has never been tried in any state.

For opponents and skeptics, it’s deceptively vague, representing a threat to food safety and animal welfare, and could embolden residents to raise cows in their backyards in cities like Portland and Bangor.

In the Nov. 2 election, voters will be asked if they favor an amendment to the Maine Constitution “to declare that all individuals have a natural, inherent and unalienable right to grow, raise, harvest, produce and consume the food of their own choosing for their own nourishment, sustenance, bodily health and well-being.”

The proposal is essentially “the 2nd Amendment of food,” said Republican Rep. Billy Bob Faulkingham, who proposed the amendment, likening it to the U.S. constitutional amendment that assures the right to bear arms.

He says it’s a common-sense amendment that would make sure the government can’t stop people from doing things like saving and exchanging seeds, as long as they don’t violate public or property rights.

“There’s a lot of disturbing trends in the food category, with the power and control that corporations are taking over our food,” said Faulkingham, who is also a commercial lobster fisherman. “We want to protect people’s ability to grow gardens, grow and raise their own food.”

Faulkingham and others said the amendment is a response to growing corporate ownership of the food supply. They see the amendment as a way to wrest control of food from big landowners and giant retailers.

                            Re: Our Dying Republic

I’m no constitutional or history scholar… just a citizen of average intelligence but it doesn’t take a genius to realize that our political parties of “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men” have finally found a way to circumvent and now beginning to take full control over our constitutional checks and balances system. And how… factional governance… it took awhile but our founding fathers worst nightmare is beginning to unfold…

What Our Founding Fathers Said About Political Parties

The current ruling two-party duopoly is so ubiquitous that we take it as a given. We teach the “two-party system” in government classes. Taxpayers pay for their primary elections, notwithstanding that legally, parties are private associations. We have allowed the two ruling parties to institutionalize themselves in our political and governing systems. They get preferential ballot access and legislative committee assignments and camaign finance laws are rigged in their favor . . . . just to name a few of the advantages they are afforded.Given this dominance, one might conclude that the two-party system arises from our constitutional roots. But in fact, the opposite is the case. Virtually every one of the Founding Fathers eschewed the idea of political parties and fretted over what might happen to the country if political parties were to come to dominate the country.

Let’s start with the Founding Father. Just before the end of his second term, George Washington wrote a letter to his “friends and fellow-citizens.” It was published in newspapers throughout the country and later came to be known as his Farewell Address.Nearly a third of Washington’s address is devoted to warning his fledging country about the dangers of political parties and encouraging his fellow citizens to never allow political parties to gain control of the government. Here is part of what he had to say:

“[Political parties] serve to organize faction, to give it an artificial and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation, the will of a party, often a small but artful and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous projects of faction, rather than the organ of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels, and modified by mutual interests. . . .Let me now . . . warn you in the most solemn manner against the baneful effects of the spirit of party ..
. . . . It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeebles the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms; foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption . . . A fire not to quenched, it demands a uniform vigilance to prevent its bursting into flame . . .”

Washington must be rolling over in his grave, watching what is going on in our country today. And he was far from alone among the Founding Fathers in his views on political parties.

“ There is nothing which I dread so much as a division of the republic into two great parties, each arranged under its leader, and concerting measures in opposition to each other. This, in my humble apprehension, is to be dreaded as the greatest political evil under our Constitution.” -John Adams in letter to Johnathan Jackson, 1780.

“I never submitted the whole system of my opinions to the creed of any party of men whatever in religion, in philosophy, in politics, or in anything else where I was capable of thinking for myself. Such an addiction is the last degradation of a free and moral agent. If I could not go to heaven but with a political party, I would decline to go.” -Thomas Jefferson letter to Francis Hopkinson, 1789

“Party knows no impulse but spirit, no prize but victory. It is blind to truth, and hardened against conviction. It seeks to justify error by perseverance, and denies to its own mind the operation of its own judgment. A man under the tyranny of party spirit is the greatest slave upon the earth, for none but himself can deprive him of the freedom of thought.” -Thomas Paine, The Opposers of the Bank, 1787.

The 'Worst Enemy' of Government: Loyalty to Party Over Nation

According to Washington, one of the chief dangers of letting regional loyalties dominate loyalty to the nation as a whole was that it would lead to factionalism, or the development of competing political parties. When Americans voted according to party loyalty, rather than the common interest of the nation, Washington feared it would foster a “spirit of revenge,” and enable the rise of “cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men” who would “usurp for themselves the reins of government; destroying afterwards the very engines, which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

In fact, political parties had already begun to emerge by the time Washington stepped aside. Federalists, who drew their support largely from New England, advocated a strong national government and the fiscal programs created by Hamilton, the nation’s first secretary of the treasury. Republicans (later Democratic-Republicans) led by Southerners like Thomas Jefferson and Madison, opposed Hamilton’s economic policies. They also split with the Federalists in foreign policy, favoring a closer relationship with France over Great Britain.

And how are they now finally accomplishing their goal… that answer can be found in the Federalist Papers No. 10 (1787)…

Federalist 10 (authored by Madison) claims that the “violence of faction” is the “mortal disease” of popular governments. Even today, he says, pointing to the experience of the states, the divisions between rival parties too often lead not to reasonable compromises but to decisions made “not according to the rules of justice, and the rights of the minor party, but by the superior force of an interested and overbearing majority.” Unless it remedies this problem on the national level, the new Constitution will not cement “a well constructed union” of the states.

We can cure the disease of faction either by “removing its causes” or by “controlling its effects.” There are but two ways to remove the causes of faction: to destroy “the liberty essential to its existence,” or to give “to every citizen the same opinions, the same passions, and the same interests.” Since, in other words, the causes of faction are “sown in the nature of man,” we must design popular government to control its effects.

Fortunately, Publius points out, among the various options for popular government — a pure democracy, a small republic, or a large republic — the Constitution is designed not only for the actual American situation but also for that most likely to mitigate the problem of faction. It is designed for a large republic extending over a geographically large and diverse territory and comprehending within its limits a diverse and constantly shifting and reconfiguring array of interest groups. This very diversity will prevent any single faction from acquiring the power to tyrannize over the others.

Like I said… I’m no genius but I do have some knowledge of our history and that with a little common sense while paying attention with what has been going on all around this country in the past decade or so is all it takes for me to come to what I believe to be a logical and practical conclusion and understand just why all these insanities are running rampant across our great nation today.

What’s the solution… I don’t know… what I do know is the first step of trying to find a solution is realizing what the problem is and how it came to be in the first place. Who knows… maybe somebody a lot wiser than me will come up with the solution in the near future… hopefully.,, before it’s too late… if it’s not already. Then the question will be… will there still be enough “unwoke” Americans with the fortitude still around so it can come to fruition and save our country?

In the meantime…I’ll still be identifying myself as a conservative (at least until feudalism returns and I’m declared a serf or peasant)… not a democrat or republican because IMO… both party’s loyalty remain with the party of the new world order… not the nation and “We the People”. And for that to be effective…all countries will have to be on the same playing field and since it would be impossible to bring the third world countries up to our level… we would have to drop to theirs.

Excellent post Docker with the added power of posting two great videos from a very powerful and thought provoking movie, especially the first video, simply brilliant and spot on monologue by Matt Damon...It's not ''THEIR KID''!!!!...and it NEVER was ''THEIR KID''

A member here recently on TOL mentioned how Americans are 'slowly' and 'suddenly' coming to the realization that our government is corrupt and has been lying to us...

Can you imagine?....After 20 years of for 'profit' regime change wars the brainwashed masses are 'slowly' and 'suddenly' realizing they've been LIED to?....After 20 years and the 'slaughter' and 'murder' of hundreds of thousands of innocent people, including thousands of women and children, the brainwashed masses are 'slowly' and 'suddenly' realizing they've been LIED to?....After 20 years of ''transferring'' TRILLIONS of dollars of OUR tax dollars to the ''War Machine'',the brainwashed masses are 'slowly' and 'suddenly' realizing they've been LIED to?...After 20 years of sending ''MY KID''...''YOUR KID''....and tens of thousands of other ''WORKING CLASS PATRIOTIC YOUNG KIDS'' into that Middle Eastern Fu*king MEAT-GRINDER losing ARMS....LEGS...MINDS...''LIVES'',with 'SUICIDE' rates among veterans through the roof upon their return, the brainwashed masses are 'slowly' and 'suddenly' NOW realizing they've been LIED to?...

''A man that has lived his life without looking at his past and identifying those sections of his character that have brought pain to others is a tyrant''....Few people have the capacity for 'critical reflection',and instead are condemned to 'arrogance','narcissism',and 'ideology'...It has taken me a lifetime to 'undo' the brainwashing of school, propaganda, media, and culture...So,is it 'unfair' to expect people to accept or know of their 'own' delusions, prejudices, and ignorances,or even their own 'silent crimes'?...I don't know!!!!....But what I do know is,it is just pissing in the wind 'educating zombies'!...

''realizing what the problem is and how it came to be in the first place''....

20 years?...After 20 years Americans are 'slowly' and 'suddenly' realizing they are in the grip of a brutish level of corporate power?...Not even close...This process started over 50 years ago when the top tax rate started dropping,in that it was a time of prosperity the people didn't much notice,or if they did notice they didn't much care...Besides,we were distracted by Vietnam,Civil Rights, and the danger of the political landscape,so we remained oblivious as wages froze and the national debt began to climb...That millions were falling out of the 'middle class' was not a concern because they probably had it coming,or they weren't working hard enough,or they were just plain unlucky...

So here we are,in the latter part of 2021,a time of debt slavery, never ending wars, government overreach and surveillance, economic inequality, massive MIC propaganda, identity politics, hatred and division for the 'other' everywhere, corporate media, corporate and political power increasing by the day,the 'erosion' of our ''Constitutional Rights''....Greed and Corruption go unpunished and unrecognized by the brainwashed masses...

Meanwhile,'Profits' are at an obscene level,Wall St. Stocks are through the stratosphere, our goods, sitting out in the ocean on containers waiting to be unloaded, are made in Third World Hellholes, and the ''ELITES CONTROL'' what we See,Hear,Eat,Do,and NOW...INJECT into our bodies...This did not happen overnight, there was nothing 'slowly' and 'sudden' about it...The Deep State have come to realize their ''PSYOPS'' has been working like a charm for decades, and are treating us accordingly...If we continue to 'ignore' the danger they pose and DO NOT act to take OUR Country back from these sycophants and psychopaths, suffering will mount, tensions will rise, and we will continue our slip into ''FASCISM''!!!!!
