Patriot Wave: 2022 Will Be the Year of the Political Outsider

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” At such an important juncture for America, the famous refrain attributed to Edmund Burke is more true and relevant than ever before.Conservative America is understandably demoralized. Not only did Republicans lose the White House and the Senate, handing increasingly socialistic Democrats full rein over the trajectory of federal policy over the next two years; they lost amid ample evidence of voter fraud. And they lost, it seems, because the very Republican representatives they elected to protect this Republic largely evaded their duties (or in some cases outright joined with the Democrats), weakly turning a blind eye to one of the greatest assaults on the integrity of the electoral process in the nation’s history. These losses have resulted in widespread disillusionment with the political system. Conservatives around the country are not only abandoning the Republican Party; many are saying that they’re done with politics in general — that it’s all too corrupt and rigged for the problem to ever be solved at the ballot box or in the legislative hall. That we “can’t vote ourselves out of this one.”

But before disheartened citizens go burning their voter registration cards, they should ask themselves if such a mass exodus from political participation isn’t exactly what the establishment wants. One of the greatest tools in warfare, after all, is demoralization. If they can convince a large enough segment of the conservative electorate that their efforts and participation don’t matter, then they will have perfectly neutralized any viable opposition to their agenda. It will be a self-fulfilling prophecy in which Americans lament that their votes and engagement don’t matter. Then, when they sit out and thereby allow more socialists and complicit Republicans to easily cruise to victory, these Americans will only fall into further despair and hopelessness. Such a defeatist mindset can have other disastrous ramifications for the country. People can only be oppressed by tyrannical government for so long before they seek an outlet to end the abuse. If the outlet of the ballot box is gone because Americans mistakenly believe it’s a futile one, the anger and frustration might wrongly and tragically find illegal and even violent forms of expression.

This is where we come back to Burke’s quote. Evil triumphs when good men do nothing. Evil men win elections because they’re often the only ones that run; good men, who aren’t interested in political power, typically have no interest in pursuing elected office. They hope someone else will do it. They would rather someone else do it; and the establishment puppets are more than happy to be the ones to step up to the plate. This has to change. Every American has a civic duty. That civic duty doesn’t end at voting. Voting is the bare minimum of civic responsibility. The Founding Fathers understood this.Great men such as Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and Madison weren’t power-hungry career politicians. Like most Americans today, they would rather have devoted their time to their business ventures, their churches, their families, and their pastimes. But they understood that, as able-bodied, intelligent, and financially independent men, they had a responsibility to serve their country in the affairs of state to the best of their ability. Americans today should take their example to heart. It is not enough to wait around for a candidate you can get behind. If there is no honest, constitutionalist candidate you can find who is willing to throw his hat into the ring for a given office, you should consider being that candidate.

Mark my words: 2022 will be the year of the outsider; a year in which voters reject the lawyers and politically-well connected in favor of real, committed local heroes. With the midterms a year-and-a-half away, now is the time for such patriots to organize their campaigns. And if you have not already been doing so, now is the time to become involved informing your fellow citizens about the principles of sound government and about the assaults on our liberties. There is obviously a great awakening occurring in America as a result of the steal that took place as well as the Left’s radical agenda. But the multitudes who are now waking up need to be better informed about the principles of good government, what is behind the assault on our liberties, etc., in order to prevent them from being beguiled and led astray but deceptive politicians. The more informed the electorate is, the better constitutionalist candidates will do at the ballot box. And it’s not just the ballot box: The more informed the electorate is, the more current officeholders, worried about their re-election prospects, will tend to move in the constitutionalist direction in order to be able to stay in office.

A wave is coming. Let’s pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and take our country back.

Exclusive — Truck Driver Edward Durr: How I Took Out New Jersey’s Top Democratic Boss

Truck driver Edward Durr (R), who stunned the political world this week by apparently defeating New Jersey State Senate President Steve Sweeney (D), told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he won because voters were tired of the government 'messing with people’s families.' With all precincts reporting Wednesday, Durr led Sweeney — the state’s Democratic political boss — by over 2,000 votes. Though the result has yet to be confirmed, Durr is likely to be certified as the victor in State Senate District 3. And he offered Breitbart News an interesting analysis of why he won, and why Republicans did so well statewide. 'The main issue was rights,' Durr said, via phone. 'People talk about how New Jersey has the highest taxes, and we’re the worst state for business, with high debt, and so on, but bottom line is rights. It’s family.' 'When somebody’s messing with your family, you’ll do anything,' he said. 'The governor was messing with people’s families. When you mess with somebody’s job, their livelihood, their home, their children — people just won’t take that.'

Durr said that New Jersey’s harsh coronavirus policies had helped create a “perfect storm” that made his victory possible. 'It was the combination of a governor who acts like a king, and a senate president who acts like a court jester, and does nothing. That made it very easy to convince people they were not being paid attention to. And when they got ignored, they got angry.' But Durr, 58, did more than just get lucky. And he spent more than the $153 that has been highlighted in media reports. 'That’s the amount I spent prior to the primary,' he explained, somewhat exasperated by the inaccurate reporting. He estimates that he spent about $8,000 to $9,000 in total, mostly on campaign literature, yard signs, and a now-viral video. He also worked hard, walking door-to-door to speak to voters.

Having left long-haul trucking for a job working a local route close to home, he was able to use afternoons and evenings to campaign in the district, together with several volunteers. 'I walked three to four hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Saturdays and Sundays, I walked six to eight hours. We usually had half a dozen volunteers. One time we went out and we had twelve to thirteen go out with us,' he recalled proudly. 'Trust me, plenty days I did not feel like walking. It was too hot, my ankles and my feet hurt — I’m not a young man anymore, and I have gout, and plantar fasciitis — it was a hard thing.' 'But it was well worth it, because it allowed me the opportunity to talk to every person I could possibly talk to, and understand what they were feeling, and get the pulse.' During one walk, he encountered his opponent. Durr challenged him to a debate — but Sweeney 'blew me off, he laughed at me.'

He has three children from a previous marriage: Heather, Eddie, and Melissa. He remarried in 2018, and his wife, Lynn, supported his efforts on the campaign trail.Durr is a fan of conservative media: 'I watch a lot of Greg Gutfeld, Newsmax, and One America,' he said. He listens to Dan Bongino and Steven Crowder. Though he has soured on Fox News since the 2020 election, he watches Mark Levin’s Life, Liberty, and Levin on Sunday evenings. Asked whether his life will change, Durr said: 'It’s already changed now — everybody knows my name.' He reflected, then added: 'Am I going to change? No — I’m always going to be me, the blue collar guy. I never once worried what somebody said about me, I’ll always be who I am. My parents were great parents. 'One thing I can guarantee: you’re getting a person who’s going to fight for you, who lives to get into the fight.'

As to what his first fight will be about, Durr offered a surprising answer: special needs children. A fellow candidate, he recalled, had a Down syndrome child who, like other children, had to spend a year at home instead of at school. But when schools reopened, the child had 'aged out' of his special needs program — after having lost a crucial year. 'That issue could have been addressed before the pandemic,' Durr said. 'There should not be an age-out time.' He also spoke about helping those whose businesses were destroyed by the government’s pandemic policies, such as the rent moratorium. 'How many of these [landlords] are just moms and dads supplementing their Social Security income?' he asked. “This is wrong, you’re telling these people they have to go broke because you have to be ‘Mister King’,' he added, referring to Gov. Phil Murphy (D), who was only narrowly reelected after a strong challenge from Republican Jack Ciattarelli.

The result is not official yet, but Durr is patient, believing that his victory will be confirmed, even if he has to wait until the votes are certified on November 18. And how does he feel — a regular guy who may have just taken out one of the most powerful political bosses in New Jersey? 'I’m feeling really good,' he said. Durr also campaigned through personal tragedy: he lost his father, Ed Sr., just last week.

You can't imagine the shock-waves this has caused to not only Jersey power-brokers,but to power-brokers through the whole Democratic Party...And this is just the beginning of a 'movement',a ''Grassroots Movement'' to OUST ALL of these Corporate Frontmen...Sweeney was the ''second'' most powerful politician in the state behind the Governor...His clashes with former Governor Christie and Murphy here in Jersey are 'legendary'...All of Corporate media were completely ignoring both the campaigns of Ciattarelli and Durr, giving them absolutely NO CHANCE of even coming close to unseating the ''TWO'' most Powerful Politicians in the state of NJ...

And that speaks directly to how 'out of touch' ALL of these politicians are to the wants and needs of ''Working Class America''...Steve Sweeney is a Union man, rising to the ranks of Vice-President of the powerful Ironworkers Union...But as you have stated Docker on a number of occasions about our OWN Teamster Union leadership, most recently in the ABF thread, both Sweeney and the Teamster leadership have 'lost' their way, have lost their message, have lost WHO they ''REPRESENT''....WORKING CLASS AMERICA!!!!....Harks right back to the adage....''Power Corrupts, and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely''....Sweeney forgot where he came from, forgot about his own roots, forgot about the people he grew up with and was supposed to 'Represent',and paid the ultimate price...It was a long time coming!!!!

Sorry Wizard… but you know the saying… if you snooze… you lose… lol

I would like to see what Judy’s reaction would be seeing how she believes there's no way an uneducated truck driver should be making a $100,000 a year.

As for Jersey… I worked in construction for 6 months on Long Beach Island back in the early 80’s and had the privilege to meet some damn good straightforward Teamsters that transferred in to Carlisle from Newark when they closed their terminal in a Carolina Freight COO in 89.

Those were two great articles that you posted which… by the way… I will be stealing too and posting elsewhere… but at least this time… they will be after the fact… lol

I'm sorry but those Teamsters tranferred in from Linden... not Newark. I don't know how in the hell I came up with Newark... I hope that's not an early warning sign of dementia about to set in. Oh well... if it is... there's nothing I can do about it... at least I don't have a job of the utmost importance as the President of the United States or something... lol
