Steelworker Union That Endorsed Biden Now Begging Him Not To End Trump’s Tariff On Foreign Steel

Donald Trump was one of the best American presidents in years for workers and labor. Protecting the interests of American workers and bringing jobs back to America was at the very center of his campaign and presidency.

In spire of this, the nation’s largest steelworker union decided to endorse Biden in 2020 for some reason.

Now the very same union is begging Biden to keep Trump’s tariff on foreign steel in place.

Steel industry groups urge Biden to keep tariffs in place after EU truce

U.S. steel industry groups and the United Steelworkers union on Wednesday urged President Joe Biden to keep in place the steel tariffs imposed three years ago, saying that lifting them now would undermine the industry’s viability.
In a letter to Biden just days after his chief trade negotiator struck a temporary tariff truce with the European Union, the groups argued that the “Section 232” national security tariffs imposed by former president Donald Trump have been a success, leading to $15.7 billion in new capacity investments.

“Eliminating the steel tariffs now would undermine the viability of our industry,” wrote the heads of the American Iron and Steel Institute, the Steel Manufacturers Association, the United Steelworkers and other groups.

“Global steel overcapacity has only increased during the pandemic, and past economic crises have led to devastating import surges as other nations dumped their excess steel into the U.S. market.”

Back in October of 2020, this same union projected an image of the Biden-Harris logo onto Trump Tower in Chicago, just to be jerks.

Now they’re begging Biden to keep Trump’s policies in place. Do you think Biden will help them?

What happens if he doesn’t? Will this union want sympathy from other Americans if they start losing their jobs?

        Cross posted from American Lookout.

All Biden Needed To Not Screw Up The Presidency Was Stay In His Basement, And He Failed

Entering office, Biden was set up nicely for a smooth glide toward nearly effortless success. Instead, in just a few months, things are going downhill fast.

President Joe Biden inherited a nation poised for a tremendous post-COVID resurgence, requiring only mid-level competence to keep things on track. Unfortunately for America, he hasn’t been up to the task. The biggest issue facing the nation for the past year obviously has been the coronavirus, which has killed more than 600,000 Americans, infected nearly 34 million, and forced the economy into a near standstill last year.As he entered office, however, the good news for Biden was that multiple vaccines already had been developed and with doses ramping up, thanks to former President Trump’s Operation Warp Speed. The economy was rebounding, and millions of jobs had returned. What was required of the new president was to not screw things up.But at the four-month mark of his administration, Biden has badly mismanaged things, contributing to a cluster of problems that are increasingly spiraling out of control. Punchbowl News, an inside-the-Beltway email newsletter, downplayed Biden’s predicaments as mere “brushfires,” as though they were minor headaches to be addressed without much concern. But the nation is facing serious problems either immediately or lurking around the corner.Millions of Americans had to calculate whether they had enough gas in their cars to keep them mobile after a cyber attack on the Colonial Pipeline, which carries 45 percent of the fuel used by the east coast of the United States. With almost immediate gasoline shortages, rising prices, and gas stations shutting down, the nation would rightly expect the president to snap to attention. Instead, administration officials seemed to shrug at the growing calamity and declined to even offer an opinion on whether the pipeline operator should pay a ransom to the hackers. It’s a “private sector decision, and the administration has not offered further advice at this time,” said Anne Neuberger, the deputy national security advisor for cyber and emerging technologies. This was three days after the attack had shut down the pipeline.

Despite the public nonchalance, the Biden White House was “acutely sensitive to the images of lines outside gas stations before Memorial Day,” reported Axios, which also noted Biden was being likened to former President Jimmy Carter, who oversaw dramatic fuel shortages in the 1970s and a national malaise. This comparison was made somewhat easier by the recent release of a bizarrely proportioned photo of the Bidens visiting the Carters at home just a few weeks earlier. In the end, despite longstanding warnings against making payments to terrorists — largely because it incentivizes future attacks — the pipeline company paid a $5 million ransom. While the gas shortages were occupying Americans’ daily lives, there was all-out war brewing in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas. Trump had shepherded historic diplomatic agreements between Israel and Arab nations through the Abraham Accords, but Biden seems determined to disrupt the delicate peace in the region.Biden restored $235 million in aid to the Palestinians, clearly signaling to Hamas — designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the Clinton administration in 1997 — that American support for Israel had weakened. Prominent critics say such a shift “invites precisely the kinds of violence we are seeing in the region today.” As a result, the Palestinian militants are emboldened.

Not content with roiling conditions in other parts of the world, Biden has also caused a catastrophe on our southern border. He campaigned for president promising amnesty for illegal immigrants, taxpayer-provided health care, work permits, support for sanctuary cities, and ending deportations.Upon assuming office, he began dismantling Trump’s effective policies. This naturally created a border surge. It’s little wonder that migrants quickly began arriving at our border wearing Biden-themed T-shirts.Despite months of the White House refusing to call the situation a “crisis,” that’s exactly what it is. In April alone, border apprehensions by federal officials jumped to 178,622, an increase from 173,348 apprehensions the previous month. Even more shocking is the fact that April’s number represents a more than tenfold increase compared to April 2020.Many of those seeking to enter our country illegally are doing so to find work, something that millions of legal residents are declining to do. The April report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics was expected to show more than 1 million jobs added, but came in at only 266,000 new jobs, with the unemployment rate ticking up to 6.1 percent. For an economy that should be roaring through a strong recovery, these were dismal numbers, causing many to charge that federal unemployment benefits were too much competition for employers looking to hire.Yet Biden rejected the notion that unemployment checks had anything to do with the weak jobs totals. “No, nothing measurable,” he said.

The data show, however, that 8.1 million jobs are currently available in America and small businesses across the country are complaining no one will accept their offers of employment. This is despite businesses offering higher wages, signing bonuses, cash just for showing up to an interview, and other enticements. Now? There is credible fear of inflation. So what is Biden’s proposed solution to the problem? Why, more of what likely helped cause it, of course.Coming into office, Biden was set up nicely for a smooth glide toward nearly effortless success. Like a golfer going into the final hole of a tournament with a three-shot lead, he needed only to keep the ball in the short grass to win. Instead, Biden has been in the woods, in the bunker, and in the water, seeing his chances for easy glory fading away.

That was a perfect analogy pro gopher Biden...

you have to wonder who is really running the government as it seems everyday that it is NOT Joe Biden.. Well maybe Joe was taking his afternoon nap with one of his dogs..

VP Kamala Harris holds unusual bilateral meeting with a foreign leader at the White House

Harris’ session with Moon was not the first time she has spoken on her own with a world leader

Vice President Harris met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in at the White House on Friday, without the participation of President Biden, and then the two appeared together to make a statement.

A bilateral meeting at the White House between a U.S. vice president and a visiting head of state – followed by a joint appearance featuring the two – is highly unusual.

The event included a photo-op of Harris and Moon walking and talking before the meeting, which included Moon and several of his aides, and Harris and several of hers.

Harris’ session with Moon was not the first time the vice president has spoken on her own with a world leader.

Harris also took a call with Jordanian King Abdullah II on Thursday, to address the Israeli-Palestinian cease-fire in Gaza.

VP KAMALA HARRIS, NOT BIDEN, CALLED JORDAN’S KING ABDULLAH ABOUT ISRAEL-GAZA DEAL

Since taking office in January, Harris has also spoken with French President Emanuel Macron, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In April, Harris also welcomed Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga to the White House before the Japanese leader met later with Biden.

Fox News could not immediately reach the White House for comment on what she and Moon discussed, but Harris said that "challenges that exist on the Korean peninsula" would be at the top of the list.

She later posted a Twitter message about the meeting.

"Today, I met with Republic of Korea President Moon," she wrote. "We discussed North Korea, global health, and how we can address the root causes of migration from the Northern Triangle. We look forward to working with President Moon to address the challenges we face."
The vice president pledged in other remarks to work with South Korea to promote "a region that is unconstrained by coercion."

Harris’ vice presidency has played a significant part in building up U.S. foreign relations – an issue that was at the cornerstone of Biden’s presidential campaign.

She has also been tasked with addressing the "root causes" contributing to the crisis at the southern border, which has meant strengthening U.S. ties with Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.

Harris will take her first international trip in June to Mexico and Guatemala in an attempt to stop the endless stream of migrants arriving at the southern border.

How’s this for a positive note… we can all just be optimistic about the whole thing and just thank God for delivering Savior Joe to us in our time of need and give thanks for him being able to reunite us so we can all face this economic crisis,.. border crisis, and national security crisis that we find ourselves in today together. We also can rest assured that our fearless leaders will be safe and secure in these turbulent times because the House democrats just passed a $1.9 billion Capitol Security Bill giving them more police… more fencing and other enhanced security measures to protect them.

And while we’re at it… we can all give thanks to nice guy Joe for giving our illegal friends the freedom to enter our country and roam about unhindered and not putting more stress upon them than they already have by providing them shelter…room and board and access to medical needs.… after all… just being in a strange country is traumatic enough in itself. And let’s not forget to give thanks to our wise and perceptive leaders for pointing out our evil racist ways and for suggesting that companies just pay any hackers ransom demands… after all… they’re just out to earn a decent living to… just as long as they make sure they are a equal opportunity employer of course.

And on a parting note… let’s not forget… Biden’s green economy plan will save our planet… not like Trump’s green economy… which only focused on the green US economy…

So who gives a shit if the United States becomes an impoverished chaotic nation along the way… just as long as other countries thrive while the planet is being saved?

This is just me trying to apply fx’s philosophy…

White House Says No Plans to Require Vaccines for Foreign Visitors

The White House said on Friday it has no plans to require foreign visitors to the United States to be vaccinated for COVID-19, even as the European Union plans to allow Americans who have received their shots to travel in the bloc.

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki also said there was no update on when the U.S. might allow in more foreign visitors.

"We certainly understand the desire of many Europeans to come to travel the United States and vice versa," Psaki said. "We can't respond to public pressure or even emotion. We have to rely on the guidance of our health and medical experts."
