Democrats are uniquely deft at destroying the American economy, but President Joe Biden just might shatter the record for the fastest time to do so.

After taking the oath of office Wednesday, Biden was expected to sign several executive orders meant to undo the work of his predecessor, including orders to roll back protections for the unborn and dismantle border security.

However, it was Biden’s executive order to rescind the permit for TC Energy to build the Keystone XL pipeline that may be the largest hit to the economy, costing as many as 11,000 Americans their jobs, including 8,000 union positions. (Those figures come from an October TC news release estimating the number of jobs that pipeline construction would add to the economy in 2021.)

A little late for this Mr Jim Hoffa, Biden said he was gonna shutdown the pipeline while you still endorsed him.. I guess maybe Jimmy is having buyer's remorse?

TEAMSTERS STATEMENT ON CANCELATION OF THE KEYSTONE XL PIPELINE

(WASHINGTON) – The following is a statement from Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa on the issuance of an executive order by President Biden canceling the completion of construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline, which will affect 8,000 union jobs and members’ retirement and health benefits.

“The Teamsters strongly oppose yesterday’s decision, and we would urge the administration to reconsider it. This executive order doesn’t just affect U.S. Teamsters; it hurts our Canadian brothers and sisters as well who work on this project. It will reduce good-paying union jobs that allow workers to provide a middle-class standard of living to their families. America needs access to various forms of energy that can keep its economy running in the years ahead. This decision will hurt that effort.

“Going forward, we expect the President to boost U.S. workers by allowing them to come together and negotiate for better wages, benefits and retirement security as his administration pushes forward with policies that grow good-paying jobs that support American families.

“The Teamsters know that President Biden is a friend to workers. The President’s past words and deeds have shown us that is true. This union looks forward to working together with him on policy and programs that create good-paying jobs with strong labor standards.”

And we didn't know that he'd do this?
      They ALWAYS do this.
      And they NEVER help us.
      The wish list includes pensions.
Biden was in Ukraine to impose AUSTERITY and cut pensions for the IMF.
      He's not gonna save pensions.
He was APPOINTED(NOT ELECTED) BY THE BANKS FOR THE BANKS.
      NOT FOR US.
Trump would've done that before Biden.(negotiated for pension fix)
Biden busted up public owned companies in Ukraine...and profited from it.
Burisma may have been part of that.
Trump helped us by partially nationalizing YRC.
      WE SHOULD HAVE SUPPORTED TRUMP!

HERE COME THE DEMOCRSTS WITH SEIU JUNK JOBS.....BUT HERE GOES THE GOOD UNION JOBS:

Oann reported 52,000 but failed to mention how they arrived at that total...

Report: Biden killed 52K American jobs on day 1 in office

During his first day in office, Joe Biden killed around 52,000 American jobs and cut billions in wages as the country continues to struggle with staggering unemployment caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Republicans from Alaska to Washington have already called the Biden administration’s agenda into question after he pulled the brakes on major sources for American energy. “He rejoined the Paris climate agreement, putting the United States back in a position to exercise global leadership,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said. “And advancing the objectives of the ambitious agreement.”

On Thursday, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel slammed Biden’s decision to undo President Trump’s efforts to put American workers first. McDaniel took to Twitter to point out several moves Biden has already made that put Americans on the backburner. These include canceling the Keystone XL pipeline and rejoining the Paris climate agreement. McDaniel said these moves show that Biden started his administration by putting the American worker, American unions and American energy prices last. According to reports, blocking construction of the Keystone XL pipeline will cost 10,000 American jobs and take $2.2 billion in payroll out of American workers’ pockets. This fact is highlighted by Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio), who said the order will stifle economic growth.

Alaska’s governor also criticized Biden for putting a quick stop to oil development projects in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. On Wednesday, almost immediately after Biden announced the temporary ban on oil and gas activities in the region, Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R-Alaska) released a statement. He said the state practices responsible development, adding if the current administration intends to make good on Biden’s campaign promises to stop drilling on federal lands, Alaskans’ economic future will be in danger.

Dunleavy concluded by stating he will use every resource possible to fight for his constituents’ right to a job and their ability to pursue every opportunity.

Pollak: Biden Kills Up to 70,000 Jobs on First Day in Office

President Joe Biden’s first day in office may have been historic in more ways than one: he may have set a single-day record for the number of jobs killed by an American president.

Biden revoked the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline, as promised. In so doing, he killed some 11,000 direct jobs that the pipeline’s construction was to have created, and an estimated 60,000 indirect jobs in secondary, related industries.

Over 1,000 workers already on the job — mostly union workers — will be laid off as a result of the decision, even if it is litigated, as many expect it will be, in the courts.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) confronted Secretary of Transportation nominee Pete Buttigieg over the Keystone XL decision on Thursday morning, during Buttigieg’s confirmation hearing. If the administration was serious about infrastructure, Cruz asked, why was it killing an infrastructure project with “good, paying union jobs”?

When Buttigieg said the idea was that “net” jobs created in more climate-friendly industries would be positive, Cruz retorted that that was little comfort to the Keystone XL workers who were being laid off: “So for those workers, the answer is somebody else will get a job?”

The Association of Oil Pipe Lines complained, as did the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters — though the union may only have itself to blame: it endorsed Biden in August, after he had promised to kill the pipeline in May.

Biden also halted the construction of the border wall on the U.S.-Mexico boundary on Wednesday. While the projections for jobs there are somewhat unclear, one analysis (by an opponent of the wall) in 2017 estimated that the wall, if fully constructed, would create 10,500 jobs.

Moreover, on Thursday, the Biden Administration announced that it had suspended oil and gas permits on federal land Wednesday. It is unclear how many jobs that will cost — but the outlook is not good.

Most presidents promise to create jobs. Biden killed up to 70,000 jobs in his first 24 hours — and the true total may be even higher.

WI GOP Congressmen rebuke President Biden's halt of Keystone pipeline

FRANKSVILLE, Wis. - Wisconsin Congressmen Bryan Steil, Glenn Grothman and Scott Fitzgerald met with workers in Racine County Friday to highlight the impacts of President Biden’s decision to revoke the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline.

Wisconsin-based companies Michels Corporation and Precision Pipeline had been awarded contracts to build the pipeline, according to a release.

On Wednesday, President Biden issued an executive order which cited U.S. "national interest" to end the pipeline so that other countries can see America moving away from fossil fuels.

"I urge President Biden to put American jobs and American energy independence first and reinstate the Keystone XL pipeline permit. Thousands of Wisconsin workers are impacted by this action and all Wisconsinites will be affected at the gas pump," said Tim Michels, Owner and Vice President of Michels Corporation.

For those that still think the cancellation of the pipeline is to save the planet.. this is a post from Facebook..

The Keystone Pipeline would be 2,147 miles long, and would supply 830,000 barrels of oil per day. A tanker truck can carry 190 barrels of oil. It would take 4,368 trucks per day just to haul that amount of oil. It would take 3 days to cover the 2,147 miles. An additional 4,368 trucks would start the trip the second day, and another 4,368 trucks would start the trip on the third day. Needless to say, all these trucks will be returning empty. Therefore, it would take 26,208 trucks per day to haul what the pipeline could carry in one day. If the trucks could gel 6 MPG, it would take 157,248 gallons of diesel per day to carry the oil... at $3 per gallon, just the diesel cost would be $471,744.00 per day, in addition the drivers' salaries, and other costs.. Ok„ we can ship it by train,, they haul a lot more... Each train tanker holds on the avg. 700 barrels of oil... so it would take over 1,185 cars to haul the oil., and the most tankers a train can have is 100 cars and can only run 40 MPH.. so it would take a little over 10 trains to travel 900 miles a day., so 2 1/2 days by train and another 24 hours to unload the train., so it would take almost 40 trains going south from Canada, fully loaded with oil, and 40 more trains running back north empty and in the meantime, you will be needing that many trains in Canada to be loading while the empty trains are headed back., so it would take 120 trains with 100 tankers each to haul the oil.. A tanker ship coming from Arab would take 27 days and hauls 2 million barrels... well I don’t even want go get into the ships., so tell me again, how completing the Keystone Pipeline would destroy the planet. Copied & shared..
