          Re: Joe Biden's America.

Joe Biden Could Bring Down Gas Prices Tomorrow. He’s Choosing Not To

It's not that Biden has no plan to bring down power prices, it's that Biden is implementing a plan to keep them going higher.

President Joe Biden can bring down gas prices tomorrow. He’s choosing not to. It’s all part of the plan. The official White House line for record-breaking prices at the pump remains fixated on blaming the Organisation of Petroleum-Exporting Countries over its refusal to ramp up output as the administration shuts down domestic production. “Gas prices relate to a foreign policy initiative,” Biden said during a CNN town hall last month. “And that’s because of supply being withheld by OPEC.”

On Friday, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm laughed at the idea there was anything the administration could do to bring down the cost of gas, once again placing blame entirely on OPEC. “What is the Granholm plan to increase oil production in America?” asked Bloomberg host Tom Keene. “That is hilarious,” she said as she tossed her head back with laughter while Americans cope with gas prices hitting all-time highs compounded by inflation. “[I] would that I had the magic wand on this,” Granholm said, pretending that she doesn’t in the form of deregulation. “Oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC, and they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning.”

Not only is the administration’s excuse a cheap cop-out from the crisis it created, it’s an insult to the more than 11 million Americans whose jobs comprise the U.S. oil and gas industry as the White House shops overseas for resources its strangling at home. Gas prices are up more than 60 percent from a year ago, according to AAA travel agency, after sustaining a painful and consistent increase over Biden’s first 10 months in office. The high cost of gas is sending ripple effects across the entire economy with more expensive transportation meaning more expensive goods, since they’re virtually all shipped at least some distance. Worse, American heating bills are on pace to soar this winter, with the Energy Information Administration (EIA) projecting in October a majority of U.S. households are estimated to pay 30-50 percent more than last year. Those reliant on propane heating, primarily in rural areas, the northeast and northern plains will be hardest hit, with a 94 percent price spike from last year’s six-month season. Such an increase is likely to amount to hundreds more in heating costs with the poorest households to suffer most.

President Biden is entirely responsible for the nation’s surging power prices, with no end to the rise in sight and no plan to stop it. “At this time, I don’t have anything new to share,” admitted White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday, after Biden made the same concession in prime time less than a month ago. A plan to bring down prices however, would be counterproductive to the president’s goals of phasing out fossil fuels, a primary centerpiece of his 2020 campaign. Biden could bring down gas prices tomorrow and ward off the looming energy crisis this winter by immediately backing off his war against the industry he’s pledged to destroy. From day one President Biden has done everything in his power to suppress home oil and gas production leading to the price shocks Americans are coping with today. Biden took an axe to the Keystone XL Pipeline, put pressure on Wall Street to cease investment on new projects, banned drilling in the Arctic, and suspended new oil and gas leases on federal land.

Auctions for new leases are still not rescheduled to take place until spring, only put back on the calendar after a federal judge ruled the leasing ban illegal. The wait has hampered operators in the capital-intensive industry to drill with the availability of new nearby leases on the horizon a prerequisite to responsible investment. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland has even hinted at limits on extraction. At the same time, Biden gave the green light to a new Russian pipeline into Germany, repeatedly begged OPEC to raise output, and demanded American oil producers lower costs after the administration’s cascade of expensive regulation. It’s not that Biden has no plan to bring down power prices, it’s that Biden is implementing a plan to keep them going higher.

The administration admitted this week another pipeline supplying more than half of Michigan’s propane needs is on the chopping block, even as propane users face the steepest spike in heating prices this winter. “The Army Corps of Engineers is preparing an environmental impact to look through this,” Jean-Pierre said in a Monday briefing. A new environmental assessment under this administration is often a precursor to project termination. Last week, Biden threw another wrench at the oil and gas industry with new methane rules unveiled while in Scotland for the global summit on climate change. The new regulations aim to reduce emissions of the greenhouse gas far more potent than carbon dioxide by 30 percent before 2030. With economic incentives already in place to capture methane, the industry has cut its emissions 23 percent over the last 30 years even as oil and gas production has increased. “It’s hard to draw a straight line to any particular regulation to higher prices,” Kathleen Sgamma, president of the Denver-based industry trade group Western Energy Alliance, told The Federalist. “[A] combination of policies meant to constrain oil and gas when taken together will raise prices for consumers… Were [Biden] to actually back off some of this regulation, it would send a really strong signal to producers and Wall Street.”

Higher prices coincide with the environmental left’s strategy to eliminate fossil fuels altogether. Just as taxes on smoking encourages smokers to quit, higher power prices encourage Americans to use less fuel. Biden nominee to lead a branch of the Treasury Department, Saule Omarova, admitted in a resurfaced video the plan is to make American energy producers “go bankrupt.”

                Re: Joe Biden's America.

                Biden's cobra presidency

Have you noticed how Joe Biden says he wants to lower gas prices, so he cancels the Keystone pipeline? He wants to lower unemployment, so he pays people not to work. He wants to beat inflation, so the Fed prints more money?

                Biden is President Perverse.

The Cobra Effect is economics slang for “perverse incentives.” If you give your kid money every time the kid misbehaves, that's a perverse incentive. Every parent knows that mandates are perverse. You don't give your teenager money to buy cocaine. (Or maybe Joe does.)

Conservatives wonder if Joe's brain is beyond its sell-by date, but that isn't quite right. The resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave isn't just failing; he does the opposite of a competent president. He's perverse. Most of us are beginning to get that.

The Afghan withdrawal was a classic lesson in how not to conduct a competent military withdrawal. This is perverse. You tell Americans you support the military, and you make the military look like bumbling fools. It's like the fat hippie admiral the left just created. Look at the photo, and you see perversity, the opposite of honor.

This is like Obama's apology tour. Do you want the world to respect the United States? Go around the world bowing down to the president of China and the Saudi king and pretend you don't hear the laughter. The left of the left seems to like these perverse jokes. The only trouble is that the U. S. president is supposed to be on our side. You have to give them credit for a sense of humor, I suppose. Jimmy Carter handed Iran to the mass-murdering mullahs, but I don't think he was laughing out loud.

The Cobra Effect is a sort of an economics joke based on the story that New Delhi had too many cobras at one time, so the city paid a bounty for dead cobras. Then smart Indian people started to raise more cobras to get the bounty, the opposite of the intended outcome. Economists use that story to explain economic stupidity. But Joe Biden has topped stupid and is now the most deliberately perverse POTUS in history. It's the only explanation I can think of.

You want to stop racism? Teach people how to hate white folks. Are you laughing yet, America? These are angry, bitter, hateful people with more than a little sadistic glee in their makeup. You say you love America, and you do your worst? This is the twisted face of hatred.

                It's Joe Biden's Cobra presidency.

                  Re: Joe Biden's America.

I listened the other day where the spokes people for Joe Biden say that the increase of the price of gas really isn't a burden on the American people.. Well Joe yes it is.. We went up to Virginia to retrieve on of our trailers of house stuff to bring it back down to South Carolina And I paid an extra $100 just for the gas.. Then another spokesperson was saying that passing bill that will pay the child care will give people the money to pay for the increase of gasoline so it wont effect the average American.. I don't know too many older Americans that can qualify for child care credits.. And there was another Democrat from Pa. that said people shouldn't complain about taxes going up since their taxes are really an investment in America.. And who wouldn't want to do that?? Delusional at best..

We have seen over the last few weeks flash mobs going into retail stores and taking whatever they want because they know that in the end they will not be prosecuted and even if arrested they will be out on the streets within hours.. This basically started in California but now it seems to be spreading across the liberal cities.. This story from Minnesota ..

Best Buy store in Minnesota looted by 20-30 suspects; all get away, report says

It was not immediately clear how much merchandise was taken, police said

A flash mob of 20 to 30 suspected looters struck a Best Buy electronics store in Minnesota on Black Friday and managed to get away before police arrived, according to a report.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. at a Best Buy location near the Burnsville Center shopping mall in Burnsville, a suburb south of Minneapolis, WCCO-TV reporter Nick Streiff wrote in a Twitter post.

It was not immediately clear how much merchandise was taken, police said, according to the post.

No weapons were believed to be involved in the incident.

Major retailers in cities and metro areas across the U.S. have seen numerous flash mob-style robberies in recent weeks.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles police Chief Michel Moore told the city’s Police Commission planned to step up a police presence in response to several such incidents there, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported.

and then from where it all started..

Los Angeles-area looters target Home Depot, Bottega Veneta stores on Black Friday: reports
Tools stolen Friday from a Home Depot store -- such as crowbars, mallets and sledgehammers -- will likely be used in future crimes, authorities fear

Officials in California sent word earlier this week that they planned to crack down on "smash and grab" robberies and flash-mob-style looting after numerous recent incidents up and down the state.

But apparently not everybody got the message.

At least two such incidents occurred in Los Angeles County on Black Friday, according to reports.

In Lakewood, a group of suspects ages 15 to 20 stormed a Home Depot store around 8:30 p.m. and grabbed tools such as crowbars, mallets and sledgehammers before getting away in vehicles that were waiting outside, FOX 11 of Los Angeles reported.

One entire section of hammers was completely cleared out, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies told the station.

As many as 10 vehicles pulled up outside the store and the thieves donned ski masks before launching their spree, KCBS-TV of Los Angeles reported.

RAMPANT SMASH-AND-GRAB THEFT PART OF FAILURE TO PROSECUTE CRIMINALS, TOLERATED BY OFFICIALS, EXPERTS SAY

The theft prompted fears that the stolen tools would be used to commit more robberies at other stores in the area, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told the station.

The Lakewood incident remained under investigation, FOX 11 reported.

                        https://t.co/TJQapjib3u?amp=1

Also Friday, in the Beverly Grove section of Los Angeles, a large group entered a Bottega Veneta store and used pepper spray against some who tried to stop them while grabbing high-end merchandise there, the station reported.

It was unclear how the suspects were able to enter the store or if police made any arrests, the station reported.

Earlier in the week, Los Angeles police Chief Michel Moore told the city’s Police Commission that a heightened police presence would be in place with city limits on Black Friday to combat "smash and grab" robberies and flash-mob style crimes that have struck California and other locations in recent weeks.

The LAPD planned to be "dedicating resources to some of these higher-end locations to deter further acts of violence," Moore told the panel Tuesday, according to FOX 11.

                        ‘We’re all victimized'
Also Tuesday, California Gov. Gavin Newsom called such crimes "unacceptable" during an interview with FOX 2 of the Bay Area.

Like Moore in Los Angeles, Newsom vowed a stronger police presence for other parts of the state.

"Everybody’s got to step things up," Newsom said. "We need to see more law enforcement, see more deterrents, more presence. You’ve seen more, you’ll see even more CHP [California Highway Patrol] officers out on the roads."

Newsom claimed that back in July he worked with mayors and police chiefs from 13 cities in the state on a plan to combat retail thefts.

Despite recent incidents in San Francisco and Los Angeles areas, Newsom insisted that authorities in the state have made "hundreds of arrests" and recovered "tens of millions of dollars" over that time. He vowed that stepped-up police efforts would continue.

"You’re going to see it in and around large shopping malls and centers, going to continue to work collaboratively to address these organized efforts and call them out," Newsom told FOX 2. "They need to be held to account. This is unconscionable behavior. Its impact is well beyond the victim: the business. We’re all victimized because there’s a level of distrust, lack of confidence in public safety that is inherent in what’s happening. We need to be more aggressive."
