So much for rumors, We (Allied drivers) did get our money back and Allied did not go out of business. Active got Jack Cooper, JCT did not get Cassens or anyone else. Hindsight is great, 20/20. What is next is anyones guess. Probably looking at a concessionary contract come June 1. Maybe an extension of the present contract. Management likes the drivers to think they know more than management , all the while keeping the drivers in the dark and off balance. How did all of you like that survey the Teamsters sent out? I have talked to many drivers that did not get it. Some just threw it away.

Ok, this no rumor, Allied is chopping heads all over. Fired terminal managers at Memphis, Jackson, and Kansas City( moved him to Wentzville). Any more that you guys know about? What's going on?

last saturday, ontario and quebec drivers took a vote for the uncoming contract proposition. both province vote for the strike, nearly 99% ...they negociate all week and they will vote again this sunday...........allied still wants the big cut and drivers want to keep the contract as it is......good luck guys !!!

I know a lot of the guys didn't even look at it,don't know if it will make any difference anyway. They are supposed to come around to the locals and see what everybody is trying to get in the new contract after the new year,on a different note. Lordstown is supposed to be very busy after jan. plant not even running at 100% yet and supposed to be hiring at that location very soon. Had some laid off most went art 38 and stayed working over there,all sopunds and looks good for now only time will tell

Sounds like things in the auto market are going well. Ford and GM both posted double digit gains for December and all of 2009.

2010 sales: GM +21%, Ford +19%, Chrysler +17%.

Of course all these numbers are realtive, since 2009 was the worst year for car sales since the early 90's.

Well it has been quite awhile since I have had the chance to stop and read the postings. Been busy running around trying to make a living. Interesting rumor about Zuckerman. Who is in line to replace him? Will Hoffa make the change or is Zuckerman giving up the position? Is there anyone else out there that thinks Zuckerman has a strong chance of getting elected as an International VP from the Central area?
