Actually, it looks like this virus did come from a lab in China. Nearly a year and a half into the pandemic, that’s the new consensus in the American media. Boy, these things change fast. There are holdouts of course. Just today, over at the Washington Post, a China shill called Michael Gerson wrote a hilariously overwrought column entitled:
"The right is dwelling on slanderous myths about the origins of COVID-19.” The radical right! Slanderous myths! Russian QAnon sleeper cells slandering the Chinese government! It’s pretty funny. The good news is, it’s almost over. You’re probably not going to see a lot more columns like that going forward. The nonsense is finally dying down.
At other parts of Michael Gerson’s own newspaper, we’ve learned, they’re working on new stories about how the virus did in fact escape from the lab in Wuhan. So, the debate among serious people over the origins of COVID appears to be pretty much winding up. Pretty much every sane person acknowledges at this point that the government of China likely caused the single worst man-made disaster in human history. As if we need more evidence, over the weekend, the Wall Street Journal reported that the first people infected with COVID-19 were probably researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. In November of 2019, three of them were taken to the hospital with symptoms. The Journal did solid reporting, but it wasn’t entirely new. Back in January of this year, the State Department issued a fact sheet telling the entire country the same thing.

The US and UK pay more than any other country by far and China... the least by far. Now... just which country is getting their moneys worth? “[W]e’re hopeful that WHO can move into a more transparent, independent phase two investigation,” Psaki added, indicating that the Biden administration is still putting confidence in the global health body, despite its documented repeated failings.

Sorry... I had to put the video up twice due to the fact that that youtube took the first one down and now I see that they took that one down too. Right now... there isn't another one to be found on youtube but you can watch the video on Fox's news article link. But that's to be expected from youtube these days when a video is uploaded that is damaging to the left's propaganda machine. GOP Senators Seek Info on Biden Halting State Probe on COVID Origin
President Joe Bidens halting of a State Department investigation into the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic in Wuhan, China, has two Senate Republicans requesting information on the move.
"We write to request information regarding recent reports that 'President Joe Biden's team shut down' an investigation into the origins of SARS-CoV-2, which included examining the theory that the virus originated in a lab in Wuhan, China," Sens. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Rick Scott, R-Fla., wrote in a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken and President Biden.
Johnson and Scott's letter cited reports that the now-terminated State Department investigation "was the only inquiry looking seriously into the hypothesis that SARS-CoV-2 emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China."
The letter also noted Biden terminated the briefing after State Department investigators briefed the president in February and March.
The senators also noted a number of skeptics of the World Health Organization investigation under China's eyes, which considered a release from the Wuhan Institute of Virology "extremely unlikely."
The Biden administration's National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan warned, the senators quoted in the letter:
"We have deep concerns about the way in which the early findings of the COVID-19 investigation were communicated and questions about the process used to reach them."
"We've got real concerns about the methodology and the process that went into that report, including the fact that the government in Beijing apparently helped to write it."
A long-time supporter of the WHO, Dr. Anthony Fauci expressed concern about the transparency of China with its probe access, the senators noted.
"If, in fact, obviously, there was a lot of restrictions on the ability of the people who went there to really take a look, then I'm going to have some considerable concerns about that," Fauci said.
Earlier this month, the letter added, 18 scientists noted the WHO's conflicting logic in its report.
"Although there were no findings in clear support of either a natural spillover or a lab accident, the [WHO] team assessed a zoonotic spillover from an intermediate host as 'likely to very likely,' and a laboratory incident as 'extremely unlikely,'" the scientists wrote. "Furthermore, the two theories were not given balanced consideration."
The letter requests information from the administration by June 10 "in order to better understand the State Department's decision to terminate an investigation into [the] virus' origins."
"While on May 26, 2021, President Biden ordered an intelligence report on the origins of SARS-CoV-2, it remains unclear why the State Department reportedly shut down a U.S.-led effort to investigate the virus' origins," the letter read. "Understanding the origins of SARS-CoV-2 is foundational to the U.S. government's efforts to prevent future pandemics and finally bring an end to the COVID-19 pandemic."

Scientists From Wuhan Lab Claim They Were Bitten by Bats
Scientists at the Wuhan lab eyed as a potential source of the pandemic claim they were bitten by bats and spattered with blood.
According to Chinese state-run TV, footage showed researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology handling bats while disregarding the use of personal protective equipment. The footage that first aired in China on Dec. 29, 2017, cuts to a clip of a person's limb badly swollen.
At one point, virus expert Cui Jie related how being bit by a bat was "like being jabbed with a needle," according to Taiwan News.
In a now-deleted article, according to the New York Post, Shi Zhengli, a researcher at the Wuhan lab, said, "This job is not as dangerous as everyone thinks."
Before the outbreak of the pandemic, Zhengli wrote, "The odds of directly infecting humans is very small." It is not clear whether she is referring to handling bats or viruses in the lab. "In most cases, only ordinary protection will be utilized," she added.
The video was aired on Chinese state TV to showcase the lab and celebrate Zhengli, its "bat woman" director.
The lab became the focus as a possible origin following the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The origins of the virus, however, remain a mystery. According to The Sun, a scientist dubbed "patient zero" vanished from the lab at the outbreak's start. It is suspected that virus expert Huang Yanling first contracted the virus in the fall of 2019.

Study Alleges Proof China Lab Created COVID, Covered It Up
A new study alleges – "now beyond a reasonable doubt" – Chinese scientists not only cooked up COVID-19 in a lab, but they covered it up, and silenced potential whistleblowers.
After being ignored in their claims of possessing "prima facie evidence" for a year, British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen are coming out with a paper outlining proof of their long-held – and once widely panned – claims.
The revelations in the study to be published soon were obtained by the U.K.'s Daily Mail and allege "deliberate destruction, concealment, or contamination of data" by Chinese scientists after "unique fingerprints" in SARS-CoV-2 – the virus that causes COVID-19 – are "indicative of purposive manipulation," concluding "the likelihood of it being the result of natural processes is very small."
"SARS-Coronavirus-2 has no credible natural ancestor," the study concludes, according to the report.
The study authors carry historical weight, too. Dalgleish is an oncology professor who has been credited with creating the first working "HIV vaccine," while Sørensen is a virologist who a chairman of Immunor, which received samples of SARs-CoV-2 to develop its Biovacc-19 vaccine candidate.
The latter detail is how the study purports to have proof of their claims, because Sørensen had access of the samples, according to the report.
The 22-page paper to be published in the Quarterly Reviews of Biophysics Discovery claims the Chinese scientists were working in "concert with American universities" on gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology between 2002 and 2019.
"Digging through archives of journals and databases, Dalgleish and Sørensen pieced together how Chinese scientists, some working in concert with American universities, allegedly built the tools to create the coronavirus," the Daily Mail wrote in its report.
The best scientific evidence of a lab-engineered virus is the rare, if not improbable, finding of four amino acids in a "new spike" on the "backbone" of the natural coronavirus from Chinese cave bats all come positively charged. The positive charge permits them to latch on to negatively charged human cells like a magnet, making the virus highly infectious – and therefore deadly.
Seeing four positively charged amino acids in a row is unnatural because they would have repelled each other naturally, the scientists conclude.
"The laws of physics mean that you cannot have four positively charged amino acids in a row," Dalgleish told DailyMail. "The only way you can get this is if you artificially manufacture it."
Included in the study is the explosive claim Chinese scientists even attempted to cover their tracks in the Wuhan lab studying bat coronaviruses by "reverse-engineering versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats," according to the report.
The scientists noted the strange evolution of the coronavirus, claiming Chinese scientists aware of their culpability in unleashed the deadly contagion shared samples with the world that were "retro-engineered" to make it look as if the virus occurred naturally.
It has been widely rebuked, China was slow to share its information on the outbreak and the samples with the world. Read: There was time for this to have happened.
The report noted new strains were "suddenly entered into gene databases by predominantly Chinese scientists early in 2020, years after they were recorded as being collected."
"We think that there have been retro-engineered viruses created," Dalgleish told Daily Mail. "They've changed the virus, then tried to make out it was in a sequence years ago."
Also, the study claims, Chinese scientists have left "gaps" in their failed effort to cover their tracks, providing the kind of "forensic" evidence that tends to crack criminal cases.
"It appears that preserved virus material and related information have been destroyed," the paper read, the Daily Mail reported. "Therefore we are confronted with large gaps in data which may never be filled."
Dalgleish and Sørensen added "Chinese scientists who wished to share their knowledge have not been able to do so or have disappeared," showing a "deliberate destruction, concealment or contamination of data" in Chinese labs.
The evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic itself is proof, too, the study claims.
"A natural virus pandemic would be expected to mutate gradually and become more infectious but less pathogenic which is what many expected with the COVID-19 pandemic but which does not appear to have happened," the paper reads.
"The implication of our historical reconstruction, we posit now beyond reasonable doubt, of the purposively manipulated chimeric virus SARS-CoV-2 makes it imperative to reconsider what types of gain of function experiments it is morally acceptable to undertake.
"Because of wide social impact, these decisions cannot be left to research scientists alone."

A bombshell new study claims to have proof that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a lab and then tried to reverse-engineer versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.
British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen wrote they’ve had primary evidence "of retro-engineering in China" since last year, but were ignored by academics and major medical journals, The Daily Mail reported Saturday, citing the soon-to-be-published study.
The study concludes: "the likelihood of it being the result of natural processes is very small." The virus is still killing 12,000 people a day around the world.

Dalgleish is a London oncology professor known for breakthrough work on a vaccine for HIV. Sørensen is a virologist and chair of the pharmaceutical company Immunor, which developed a coronavirus vaccine candidate called Biovacc-19. Dalgleish also has a financial stake in that company.
It was during their COVID-19 vaccine research that the pair came across "unique fingerprints" indicating the virus didn’t come from nature, they said. The telltale clue: a rare finding in the COVID-carrying virus of a row of four amino acids, which give off a positive charge and bond to negative human cells.
"The laws of physics mean that you cannot have four positively charged amino acids in a row," Dalgleish told the Daily Mail. "The only way you can get this is if you artificially manufacture it."
They also tracked published Chinese research, some done working with American universities, to show how the tools to create the virus were allegedly built. A good part of the work reviewed involved "gain of function" research, which involves manipulating natural viruses in a lab to make them more infectious, allowing scientists to study their potential effect on humans.
The U.S. put a moratorium on such research in 2014. But it’s impossible to know if $600,000 funding for medical research in China was used for gain of function research, Dr. Anthony Fauci told Congress last week.
"A natural virus pandemic would be expected to mutate gradually and become more infectious but less pathogenic which is what many expected with the COVID-19 pandemic but which does not appear to have happened," the scientists wrote.

Joe Biden’s COVID-19 adviser says origins of virus is not the real issue
Joe Biden’s coronavirus adviser has continued to downplay the investigation into the origins of COVID-19. During an interview on Thursday, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel explained that China is withholding information which may be relevant to the Wuhan lab leak theory.
Emanuel insisted the origins of the virus is not the real issue, despite Biden directing the U.S. Intelligence Agency to launch a probe into the matter. He went on to claim the main focus should be on how to protect ourselves from future pandemics.
“We need transparency and we do need the Chinese to participate because the real issue is not how did this happen,” said Emanuel. Instead, he claims the more important question to ask is how can we protect ourselves from a future pandemic? The doctor also suggested implementing an early warning system for the public.
Nonetheless, Biden has directed the Intel Agency to complete a probe into the root causes of the virus within 90 days.
