Re: Live voting vs mail in voting

Oops ! Another loss for the Trump camp.

Judge halts Trump campaign's mail-voting lawsuit against Pennsylvania
A federal judge in Pennsylvania on Sunday halted the Trump campaign’s lawsuit against the state over how it sends and counts mail-in ballots.
Nicholas Ranjan of the U.S. District Court in the Western District of Pennsylvania, who was appointed by President Trump, ruled Sunday that Trump’s lawsuit against the secretary of state and 67 county election boards should be put on hold while state court cases about voting move forward, CNN reported.
"After carefully considering the arguments raised by the parties, the Court finds that the appropriate course is abstention, at least for the time being. In other words, the Court will apply the brakes to this lawsuit, and allow the Pennsylvania state courts to weigh in and interpret the state statutes that undergird Plaintiffs' federal- constitutional claims," Ranjan reportedly wrote Sunday.

Another election official saying fraud to the extent trump claims is not feasible.

Trump's election fraud claims 'not feasible,' says top Kentucky elections official
The top election official in Kentucky, who has also been Vice President Mike Pence’s election attorney for the past three years, said Friday that it is not possible to pull off the kind of widespread fraud that President Trump repeatedly says — without evidence — is a problem.
“When I ran for this office last year, I cited 22 specific cases of recent election fraud convictions,” said Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams, a Republican. “It does happen, but it doesn’t happen on a widespread basis when it does happen. It typically happens in a small town.”
“But you’re not going to see widespread fraud in a presidential or a Senate or a governor’s race. It’s just not feasible. And it hasn’t been [feasible] in 70 or 80 years,” Adams said in an interview on “The Long Game.”
Adams has pushed for Republicans to vote by mail and has sought to debunk notions that doing so will lead to fraud. He told National Public Radio in May that he had his “head taken off” by some Republicans for sending a postcard to every registered voter telling them how to obtain a mail ballot for Kentucky’s June 23 primary.
He also said in that interview that it was “absurd” to suggest that the election would be stolen from Trump through voting by mail.
Kentucky is one of 42 states, along with the District of Columbia, that tracks its mail ballots, according to data compiled by the Voting Rights Lab, an advocacy group that analyzes voting laws. Like many states, Kentucky uses a bar code that is generated once a voter applies for and requests a mail ballot.
“You can track your ballot the same way you track a UPS package or something. That transparency gives us in the office the ability to track the ballot,” Adams said.

Recorded ballot counts in 72% of Detroit's absentee voting precincts didn't match the number of ballots cast, spurring officials in Michigan's largest county to ask the state to investigate ahead of a pivotal presidential election.

        72% are off and wrong.
Mail in voting will cause a civil war imo.
In this political climate it is childish and spoiled and wrong to think this is the time to do it.
Cheating very much appears to be the goal.

Wonderful to know how deep the kool-aid well is at the trump cult meetings.

That 59 divisions in Philly had no votes for Romney in 2012 is "(a) mathematical and statistical impossibility."
First, the 59 refers to the City of Philadelphia, not the metropolitan area or region.
As Billy Penn reported, after Sean Hannity reiterated that 59 divisions with all-Obama votes showed signs of election rigging, a West Philadelphia elections inspector took to Twitter to debunk it.
Some of the 59 divisions had fewer than 10 registered Republicans, according to records from April 2012. The average number of registered Republicans in these divisions was 17. The Philadelphia Inquirer sought out many of these voters after the election, and found that the rolls could use some updating. Some, neighbors said, had moved, others straight-up told the Inquirer they didn’t know the city had them down as GOPers. One man told the paper while he was a Republican, he had never actually voted that way.
We rule this claim a Pants on Fire.

I figure people think Trump is some kind of egotist who must win at all cost no matter how.

The Democrats pushing a new policy of how to vote while riots are happening near 90 days in Portland and a bunch in other cities...statues destroyed...unrest.
I think they mirror those thoughts some may have of Trump above.
And they are very sickly selfish and driven by a very sick desire to win to subject the nation to this mail in vote change. It is not necessary.
There have been Democrat Presidents and Republican Presidents when people vote the normal way.
They endanger the nation with this.
People may get hurt and they do not care. They only care to win. Most probably by cheating with mail ins.
It shows that they do not care about people. They don't care about the poor. The poor are in harm's way in the cities. And they provoke it.

Re: Live voting vs mail in voting

IMO, of the many things this administration has failed at, one stands out. The inability to present a standard bearer of information. Nothing is ever presented that unifies their message. The people within the administration and those tasked with guiding government departments all seem to have different views and conflicting information. No matter if it's the FDA, the CDC, or any number of government departments. To me, it's a sure sign of an administration unable, or unwilling to unify the people, their own employees and the American public.
                Here is another case.

Trump-appointed elections commissioner says ‘no real evidence’ of president’s claims about voter fraud
Ben Hovland, chairman of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, was appointed to his post by President Donald Trump last year. In an interview with the PBS NewsHour, he said “When you talk to election officials, you know, Republicans, Democrats across the country, people that this is their job and this is what they do — they have trust in this system. They know it works. They’ve been doing it for years.”
Trump has repeatedly criticized the USPS and attacked Democrats for requesting an additional $25 billion to help prop up the underfunded agency. In an interview with FOX News earlier this month, Trump called the proposed funding “election money, basically” and said without it “you can’t have universal mail-in voting.”
The president has also claimed without evidence that mail-in voting leads to widespread fraud, despite numerous studies showing voter fraud in the U.S. is exceedingly rare.
Hovland said he wouldn’t “speculate as to the reasons” behind Trump’s attacks on mail-in voting, “but what I can tell you is that it absolutely doesn’t help.”

Hovland said that “time and time again, this issue has been looked at…there’s been study after study. There was a presidential commission created. There have been countless lawsuits on this issue. And when the rubber hits the road, there has been no real evidence.”
What is good enough for the President and his cronies, is good enough for the average American voter.

Somebody cheating ? That's a strange thought considering this administration seems adamant about changing the Post Office right before an election.
Millions of absentee ballots are sent though the mail every election cycle.
So who's attempting to cheat ?

Judge Orders USPS to Provide Info on Service Changes
A federal judge in Washington state is giving the Trump administration and the U.S. Postal Service 10 days to turn over records and information about service changes that critics say could undermine mail-in voting in the November election.
More than 20 states filed lawsuits last week over the changes, including 14 states that sued in U.S. District Court in Yakima.
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy announced the same day the lawsuit was filed that he was halting many of the changes, which included reducing overtime and removing mail sorting equipment. But Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said many questions remain about the Postal Service’s actions, whether the changes such as the removal of sorting equipment are being reversed, and whether mail delays will continue.
He noted the case isn’t just about the timely delivery of mail-in ballots, but also about the delivery of prescriptions, Social Security benefits and other items people depend on.

The post office was sabotaged by this administration and the swamp critter Trump placed to oversee postal operations.
Coincidence ? How unlikely would that be ?

DeJoy Tells Judge Mail-Sorting Machines Can’t Be Reassembled
Postmaster General Louis DeJoy told a judge the U.S. Postal Service can’t reassemble the hundreds of high speed mail-sorting machines that were taken apart this year, a project that more than a dozen states allege was intended to undermine the upcoming election.
A nationwide injunction issued last week in Yakima, Wash., should be amended to acknowledge that the machines can’t be put back together, DeJoy and the USPS said in a filing in the case on Sept. 23. The machines, dismantled under a DeJoy initiative, were stripped for parts to improve or repair other machines, they said.
“It is therefore not possible to return such machines to service,” the USPS and DeJoy, a major Republican donor and former XPO Logistics executive, said in the filing.
In his Sept. 17 ruling, Bastian blasted the USPS changes, saying it was “easy to conclude” that DeJoy’s effort was intended to disrupt and challenge the legitimacy of the Nov. 3 election. The judge noted that 72% of the decommissioned high-speed mail-sorting machines were located in counties where Hillary Clinton got the most votes in 2016.

It was very clear that during the debate last night, Trump has a plan. A plan to instill fear in everyone so he will have supporters when he claims the election was not valid.

On Tuesday, the New York City Board admitted that they had sent out almost 100,000 absentee ballots with return envelopes that had the wrong addresses and names on them.

This is just the latest example of the flaws that come with voting by mail.

Every election we have a winner on election night.....but now how long do we wait?
Go to the polls and vote.
Nobody should vote by mail except travellers or people whose work schedule may stop them from getting to polls or if they have a disability.
If everybody can roll around in the aisles over Christmas gifts they can't afford...then they can get out to vote. No special deals.
