So okay we are finally getting settled in and we survived the first ice storm .. Not much of a storm but the grocery stores were sold out.. But over all we are becoming Mr. and Mrs. fix it but time well spent.. Many things I relied on one of my boys to help out with are things we are doing as if it was normal and of course I snap a picture and sent it to my boys.. Today was basically the first day we just chilled all day ..So what did I finish doing?? Nothing.. And I feel good about it..

Buy American they say.. Just finished putting together a Weber grill that one of my boys won and we bought it from him.. if you weren't able to put the app on your phone I would never had been able to done it with the instructions they give you.. Grill might be made in America put the instructions they give you have to come from China.. Parts were bent and a few of the holes didn't line up so I had to drill them a little bigger..

So this week I have to go in for a medical procedure and they told me I would not be able to drive and since we only have one vehicle now and it seems I am the dedicated driver I told my wife she is gonna have to take me home from the hospital.. mind you I have had the truck for five years now and the most she has driven it was to move it in the driveway.. Well she drove home from the supermarket and I held on to the dashboard.. Gonna take her out again today..

Well we have been in SC for just over a year now and I can say I like the weather.. So far.. My wife has found a new hobby and it is starting to cost me some money.. Auctions.. In the beginning it was like a passing fad .. but now it seems every week its work around the auctions.. Don't get me wrong as I kinda wish we found this sooner.. We just replaced our oak dining room furniture with black lacquer Oriental stuff.. Vintage ,, Almost $15000 worth for just under a $1000.. But this does keep us busy.. When she first started I figured this would be cheaper than taking her to a casino,, Wrong again.. But it makes her happy so all is well..

Well we survived our first hurricane in SC storm was minimal .. had winds about 55 MPH and lots of rain.. lost power for about two hours.. now the storm is going northward..

just finished stacking wood for next year .Two chords took me two days. When I was younger it only took six hours to do. That's the price you pay for getting old . I'm eighty two and still love to hear the sound of trucks.

All cleaned up after the latest blizzard.70mph wind and about a foot of snow last Friday and Saturday.All Chistmas Eve and day plans were rescheduled.

Home again in time for a nap.. Out after Christmas shopping and then lunch with my son.. two 16 oz beers and I am done..

Putting is a garbage disposal as the old one we had started leaking.. Told the wife .Nope, I ain't doing it but as always I lost.. Garbage disposal installed.. Just don't have the body moves to get under the sink anymore.. But the wife did help.. cocktail time. .watching for leaks..

Finally some excitement in the area.. Chinese spy balloon shot down about 10 miles from where we live here in SC...

Just finished shoveling heavy wet snow. Nice workout for an old guy. Even better ,,, more coming,

Just finished washing the breakfast dishes that my wife so kindly got dirty making sausage gravy eggs and biskits. Fixing to go drag some small trees I cut down last Monday into the woods , mow the yard for the first time this year and wash the pine pollen off the cars if I don’t run out of time as I go to bed at 5 pm to be able to get up at 1 am to start my work week.

Getting the RV ready yet again.. 2nd trip in less than a month.. A couple of nights in NC then 3 in Virginia and then 2 more in NC again on the way home.. Nothing like getting in the middle lane and doing 50mph.. Just kidding..
